I got the 256GB... for only $18 and it was delivered the next day. What's not to be happy about? I used it on my wife's Dell computer that no kidding... would take 6-7 full minutes to boot up. Her regular HDD was transferring data at a slow 2.3MBs . (she uses only about 50GB of space). I tried defragging and scanning for errors, and all looked good... but slow.. I purchased this, connected it with an external drive kit i have. Used Acronis to create a clone. Then swapped drives and it now takes only 40 seconds to boot and it's screaming fast.I scanned the new drive for errors and speed, and it's now transferring at 11MBs with no issues. I highly recommend this!NOTE that it's a bare drive with screws. I mounted it with heat resistant tape inside my larger HDD cage, but you may want to consider purchasing the correct size cage (adapter) for this to be screwed in to your larger HDD cage. This drive is SO small and light. The way I did it works for me. :-)

I installed the OEM version of Achronis from the link given in the description and cloned the existing drive which was a Samsung Evo 870. I used Crystal diskmark on both drives and found the Samsung was faster for larger writes by about 11%, it was slower on smaller write speeds by about 20%. Read speeds were pretty much the same. This is a good disk for a great price and I will stock up on them. The first picture is the HP result, the second is the Samsung.

It appears well built and is very lightweight. I just got it installed yesterday, upgrading from a hdd, but it has already substantially increased the computers speed. It took some homework to figure out how to get it to work, but that’s user error and not an issue of the drive itself. I have nothing bad to say about it. I first upgraded from 8gb to 16gb of ram. My old laptop worked better, but not great. Once I got this working, it was night and day. The performance increase per dollar between the two upgrades is so incredibly worth it on my older machine. I wouldn’t game on it, but at least it’s usable again!

I landed on this drive after shopping around different brands, and I’m happy with my decision. So far the drive worked without an issue. It’s a good backup drive for my laptop

This SSD installed easily with no issues. I did not change any BIOS settings. I had a full MS Windows 10 download on a thumb drive. Put it in and restarted the computer. The install went relatively quickly and then I had a new fresh windows 10 home. After install I put back some of the files that I saved from my old failing HDD drive and I'm back in business. I did not reinstall some of the old apps that I did not use anymore and only installed the drivers that were for some of the hardware I needed. Boot time is 10% of what it was and programs all open much faster. I have had no issues with any operation ... yet.

This appears to be a high quality SSD. Power and data cable connector is tight and secure. This may be my imagination, but when I play back recorded videos from the solid state drive, the picture appears sharper and clearer than when played back from a mechanical HDD.

By far the best HP product besides Western Digital. Fast and reliable I only wish it came in 4TB so far they only carry 2TB but I bought 4TB Western Digital Blue which is just as good.
