Please, notice that to replace the battery you will have to disassemble the Key Fob. Replacement also requires some technical abilities. If You are not sure that can correctly disassemble the Key Fob and install the battery, we recommend you to ask a specialist to help you. The pins are located at 90 degrees! You would need to have some soldering skills in order to replace the battery.

Even if I had to mangle my key a bit but at least it works now. Beats being forced to pay $300+ for a brand new key

Had the car since new so this is about the 4-5th battery in this key. Good battery with proper tab alignment. Just open key case with knife, solder battery in carefully and then reprogram all keys. Put first key in, turn to first click for 5 seconds, take out key, press and hold button closest to key blade then at same time press center button 3 times. Car will cycle locks. Take second key, don’t put in ignition, hold same top button hit center 3 times car locks cycle. Insert key and start car. All keys will then work. You may have to do try this a time or two but it does work. Good luck.

car doesnt have a replaceable battery in the keyfob. you have to pry the key shell apart (breaking it) then desolder the old battery and putting this one in its place. Very easy to do if you already solder. you can buy a new shell on Amazon under $10. Dont go back to BMW and spend $300 to get a new key when your battery quits.

I couldn't understand why I drove the car my key fob was able to lock and unlock but next morning doesn't work I have to use the key to get in this happen for 2 days when check the voltage is was 1.7 didn't hold any charge look at the battery look is old can't hardly see the prini.

Has the proper lead orientation for a BMW key fob. Had to file the shoulders of the leads slightly to get it to sit flush on the circuit board.

Perfect replacement for our 2007 (E83) BMW X3 key fobs. Easy to swap by carefully following the many You tube videos on the subject.

I used this on my 2003 BMW M3 and the battery works. I can now use my key fob. HOWEVER, the fitment is poor. There are "shoulders" on the connectors of the battery that prevent the connectors from going fully through the circuit board, prevent the battery from laying flat. Some modification was necessary to make this work so it would lay flat for a proper fitment.
