Ordered this as a gift. They are simply gorgeous and they do work well! Item comes in a cardboard box with a leather drawstring pouch and cleaning cloth. I threw away the box and all the plastic bags that everything comes in, wrapped the glasses in satin (from Hobby Lobby) and bought a "mini wood chest" (again, hobby lobby, $5) and put them in that for the gift. Much better presentation. I did notice the red part of the handle needed to be tightened after we played with them for a few minutes. No big deal. Very happy, and very happy with the company's customer service. Package was delayed through no fault of theirs (winter storm, package was held up in my town) yet the company reimbursed my delivery fee. Very kind of them! Buying a second pair for me!

My husband is a disabled vet and we have to sit in the wheelchair row at the Performing Arts theatre. This is the last row. We have difficulty seeing some of the details on stage. I found these Opera Glasses. They are very pretty. They have a handle to hold them to your eyes. While at a performance, I did have to tighten the handle a couple of times. Other reviews state the black leather bag they come in has an odor. That is true. Kind of like a new car smell. It was noticeable but not offense to us. I believe the bag aroma will go away with time. I also purchased the 4X30 Gold Opera Glasses. After trying both pair, we liked the 4X30 better and I ordered another pair of the 4X30. Comparing both pair. These are lighter. However this pair magnifies 3X25. That may be enough for most people. Our eyes used the 4X30 better and we could see more detail with the 4X30. The 4X30 comes with an attached chain which allowed us not to hold the glasses while not in use.

These opera glasses seem very solid and well-made. After figuring out the focusing mechanism, I have had no problem using them and they look very classy. They'll serve me well next month in Vienna.

These looked and felt like a quality product. But, they didn't work. I never had a focused view. I used the adjustment knob, but it only turned and turned, nothing ever came in focus. I was so disappointed. I bought them to see my first Opera on Broadway in NY and ended up using the magnifying glass app on my phone.

I bought them for a concert, Alejandro Fernandez concert in San Juan, but I was so close to the stage, 7th row, that I hardly used them. They are very stylish, look high class, they come in burgundy color, nice looking pouch and served its purpose. A good back up for bad eyes.

They look nice and feel sturdy for the price, but if you try to focus them, the screw spins and falls out. They can't be focused.

They function ok since the optics are average for this application but were bought primarily as a costume accessory. Used them at a concert with seats in the upper deck - and worked fine.

One pair required the light unit to be reattached to the glasses. It, the light, came loosely mounted and fell off and it was required to be remounted and with a little screw driver to tighten the screw that held the light in place.
