Air Hose Reel

Working with air tools just got easier with Hromee 3/8 in. x 50 ft. Enclosed Air Hose Reel. It features an automatic spring-powered drive so automatic hose retraction is quick and easy. The click-lock mechanism lets you pull the hose to any length. The hybrid hose has no memory and helps eliminate kinks. The hose is equipped with solid brass 1/4 in. NPT end fittings. It's perfect for any air tool and air compressor that operates at 300 PSI or less and for industrial, contractor or household use.

I had a cheap air hose that was a pain to coil. I could never get my assistants to coil it correctly (under/over), and when tried to do it myself, it was a struggle. I have another air hose in my garage that is not problem, but the cheap air hose had some permanent kinks and twists in it.I decided to replace it, and this hose reel is about the price of a good quality 50' hose, so it was a no brainer. It was easy to install and easy to use. This isn't "professional grade" (it's plastic) but for my home DIY shop it's perfect.EDIT: After I purchased this, Harbor Freight offered a metal hose reel for about the same price. After a few weeks, the retraction started to get finicky and then the quick connect tool adapter stopped working. I had to stop what I was doing and run out to my local hardware store for a replacement connector.All in all, I'm still happy I bought it. But if I was doing it over and was willing to wait, I might have waited for a better deal on a more robust reel made of metal.

This hose rig has been a huge convenience. The hose feeder works without hard jams. It’s easy to hang and has ample intake hose to the compressor. The hose itself feels sturdy and durable. The reel locks in place so you’re not struggling to hold the hose to your length, release and rewind in very smooth.Great product for the small shop or home shop.

Pretty inexpensive product. Mounted easily. Unfortunately it leaks slowly where the drum rotates on the shaft. There are a pair of o-rings that the air is pushing past. I tried replacing them with standard sizes and there wasn't an improvement. It's not a bad leak, just a nuisance if you leave it to a compressor that's powered on at all times.

So far so good (fingers crossed). Goes up easily mounting on brick. You’ll need a 3/8†masonry bit. Iâ€ll update later after some use.

Works as designed. Definitely cheap but for home use it’s perfect. Would NEVER hold up to daily use.

I had been using this product for nearly 4 years, but today, when I was teaching my nine year old how to work with tires, the hose came apart and started waving around like an angry cobra. It spared him, but gave me a good whack. At the time it exploded, it was pressurized to less than 200 psi. (My compressor will only do about 210.) The hose says it is good for 300. This thing is dangerous. I recommend not buying it. In the future, I will be getting whatever the expensive name brand of air hoses is.

Package arrived promptly . the box looked smaller than I expected as I unpacked it the better it got. The hose was as expected. The female connector is the type that the collar stays back after u remove the accessory so you don't need to to hold it back to install the next tool. Even the teflon tape was more than expected a full roll like you would get at the store. Install was easy just screw the bracket to the wall (with included hardware) then slip on the reel and insert the pin DONE. the reel seems to be well made and works well. A+

It's not bad. Looks and feels really cheaply built/flimsy. But so far it works great. Install was super easy. It's nice not having to coil hose anymore. We'll see how long it lasts.
