And useful! I keep it on the counter top by the stove, with my sea salt. It’s attractive and useful. I appreciate it’s made from bamboo, and has the tiny magnetic clasp.

The inside of the bowl is unfinished wood. It had some splinters in it when it arrived. I wiped it out with a damp cloth and used a fine sanding paper to make it less precarious. It could probably use some oil or wax as well. I like the size of it though, and ease of use.

Just received this bamboo salt box for my Maldon salt flakes. So far, it seems to look, feel, and smell true to what the seller claims it to be - bamboo. The only issue I see is the claim that it can hold 8.5 ounces. The package of Maldon salt flakes comes in 8.5 ounces, so I thought this container would be the perfect size for one box of salt flakes, but this salt box holds less than that. I'd say probably about 4-5 ounces. Still, I'm happy with the product, as it's easy enough to push the top open to get at the salt, but the small magnet is secure enough to not accidentally open without intention. The company name/logo is etched out on the bottom side of the box, so nicely hidden from obvious view, and it has clean, modern lines that would compliment any kitchen or dining table.

I love the size, quality and ease of using this bamboo salt box. The lid is attached to the base with a stainless steel post. It swivels to the side, but stays in place with a magnetic disc. I bought two: one for salt and the other for pepper. I labeled them myself, but it’s not really necessary. The salt box is sturdy without being bulky. It’s the perfect size to keep within reach on the counter. The bamboo salt box would make a nice gift for anyone, but especially for those who enjoy cooking.

This salt container worked wonders for my salt. I didn’t have a good container to start off with. I used the glass container you normally used to heat up your lunch but I found it too bulky to carry. This worked wonders when I am doing my daily cooking.
