I bought this as a gut check on theory. I have an older house that we have added onto over the years. The gas meter has gone from being a few feet away from the two things that used gas to the meter now being much further away from the half dozen things that use gas now. As high BTU items like a water heater and a fire pit have been added further away from the meter, the gas folks were using the usual charts to speculate whether the pipes they were installing were sufficiently sized. What no one did was turn everything on and find out. That's exactly what I did yesterday with this manometer that is super easy to use. Things are just fine, and the odds of that many things running full tilt are nil because I don't tend to have the pizza oven and griddle on at the same time as the Wolf range is running wide open on every burner all while taking a shower and running the fire pit. I get the theory of low pressure gas and don't dispute any of it, but every now and then it's worth a practical reality check to see how a collection of gas fired items work in practice. One feature I really like about this meter is the larger 5/16 barb. The places I need to test don't have ports, and adding a 1/8" barb to test was going to be a challenge. What I can do is add an adapter with 1/2" or 3/4" npt on one end and a 5/16 barb on the other. Easy peasy solution with readily available parts.

I bought this to check pressure drop across my HVAC intake air filter. And to check it again later after the filter loads up with dirt. Works fine, and the resolution 0.02 inch*H2O is adequate. No problems with it, just installed the provided battery, powered it on, set the units, and took measurements. Comes with a set of nice, floppy silicone hoses, which I used, and some stiffer clear hoses which I didn't use. Display is clear and instructions are fine.

Bought this to use after watching multiple furnace tune up videos. Has all the hoses/connections needed. This was the same model recommended as its inexpensive and great for DIY use.Without the video I wouldnt know exactly how to use it…the manual is basic and doesnt really explain much.I have to admit there are two versions with different “fittings†was not sure which one I needed.Anyhow I was able to successfully connect it, get a goood reading, make a small gas valve adjustment on my furnace…and feel good to not pay $XXX for a furnace maintenance visit. Everything was OK, but worth checking for piece of mind. I also checked my gas fireplace and will take it over to my parents next visit!

The features and accuracy really impress this professional HVAC/energy engineer, especially for $35. It even includes a datalogging feature, very useful for intermittent problems like the one I'd otherwise struggled troubleshooting. This thing practically paid for itself before I had the battery installed, which isn't a fitment issue, as reported by another reviewer, if you're careful in how you route the connector wiring.Not only can you troubleshoot dozens of aspects of your complex (condensing, variable speed, 2-stage cooling) furnace/AC, but you can validate proper natural gas pressure, verify when your fancy pleated filter *actually* needs changing, test how balanced your HVAC system airflow is, and along with an IR thermometer and a decent kitchen vent hood and/or restroom exhausts, even approximate a blower door test on your home to seal those pesky drafts.I was so impressed of this unit's value, I bought another the next day for a HVAC technician friend who typically totes a plethora of analog Magnehelic gauges to obtain the same range/functionality.Is it a $150 Dwyer/UEi/Fieldpiece? Of course not. But does it provide 95% of the bang for 20% of the buck? You bet!Bravo.

I think the headline says it all! I understood what monometers did and have watched HVAC tech's and others use them, but haven't ever used one myself. But the instructions were easy to understand and the meter worked perfectly. I had to install a new regulator onto my giant shop LP gas heater and needed to set the correct inlet and burner gas pressures and this meter, while it isn't the fanciest, has plenty of features, is well made, easy to use, and has all of the accessories I needed to test the pressures within the gas regulator while standing 14 ft up on a ladder - and it arrived within 24 hours. So this company, its employees, and this excellent monometer get my 5 star rating in all categories.

Watched all these YouTube videos on checking the static pressure in a room with the door closed. However they were measuring Pascals. The lowest unit on this guy is mbar, which is 100 Pascals. This is not sensitive enough for my use case. My fault I guess, as I didn't know to even ask the question.2024.08.04 Edit: If you want to measure room pressure you need a micro-manometer (like this for instance: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VRCTBU/)

El equipo venÃa como las tomas para las manguera más gruesas qué un equipo qué compré anteriormente, mismo modelo y marca, se resolvió relativamente fácil pero lo lo pude utilizar el mismo dÃa que me llegó, solo deberÃan de indicar en las especificaciones las medidas de las tomas, sobre todo cuando hay cambios en modelos iguales, por lo demás todo bien
