These sublimated nicely, BUT I made a few modifications to the recommended time/temp and of removal of blue protective film. When following directions, the image was too light and I found results much better by ignoring the time posted and instead watching the temperature on the press. It's normal for the heat press to drop in temperature when pressing, so I made sure the temperature returned to the 356° as recommended, and then counted for another 20 seconds or so. Also, one of the images in the post says not to remove the protective film on both sides at the same time, but to sublimate one side and then remove the coating and sublimate the other side. When I did that, a glue residue remained and I had to work to remove it. Removing both sides of the protective film before sublimating the first side worked much better with no glue residue left behind.

These sublimate beautifully! The thing that is frustrating is when you remove the film there’s a sticky residue all over it! I then have to take a rag and scrub and scrub until it comes off. It takes SO much time to get the residue off! I bought 2 packs so I will use them but I hope they do things differently in the future. I appreciate them being protected from scratches but the amount of time I spent getting the residue of each one in both sides was insane!

A number of the medallions had defective sublimation surfaces rendering them useless. There were chips, cracks or peeling away of the surface with the protective layer. Size was great, however and those that were usable took the color well.

Update 11/16/23.... Communications with the seller have been excellent so I purchased another set only to find the same issues. Unfortunately, I must move on with another supplier/manufacturer.Let me start from taking off the blue protective film from the keychain. It leaves behind a glue residue that requires diligent removal with alcohol. Other MDF board coated products from other manufacturer's, not found here on Amazon, have a thin film that comes off easily with zero residue.I followed the heating and time schedule per the instructions. I decided to sublimate only 2 of these at a time on my pull down heat press. When the time went off I remove the product. When peeling off the heat tape, the opposite side of the sublimation coating actually peeled off the MDF board completely!!. Both test pressings did the exact same thing.I strayed from their directions and did a 10 second press without the graphics applied in order to get rid of any moisture in the MDF. This is common practice when sublimating on MDF coasters and why this is not mentioned in the directions is beyond me. After applying the graphic to one side, I used heat tape to tape it down and ran it into the press. The EXACT SAME THING happened again. When peeling off the tape, the whole backside of the MDF peeled right off.This is a terrible and most likely a bad batch. I had to revert elsewhere (besides Amazon) and order some aluminum coated blanks that I have used in the past.I will be wiling to purchase this one more time to see if. this was merely a bad batch. If I have the same problem again, I will photo the issue and contact the company directly - something I didn't do the first time.

The 3 up the top are with sub paper and a heat press. Turned out terrible. I used the recommended time and temp. No good.The two down the bottom are normal printer paper and I used my mini cricut heat press with pressure and look how they turned out.Yes, be careful putting on the key ring as it's chips easily. I also had bubbling on the back of one and had to peel of the white part. Not sure I'll buy again. I'll see how the rest go.

These sub beautifully but DO NOT peel off heat tape when hot as the white will peel very easily and alot!! When peeled cold peel tape toward the edge not edge first and no more issues :)
