I know the reviews say it's heavy but seriously the 25mm weighs 3/4lb without the sheath. It's a great demo chisel, the ability to lay it flat is really nice. Temper wise it's not super hard so it handles abuse without a lot of chipping, I beat the crap out of it and am genuinely impressed. It's could be an ok framing chisel, honestly I couldn't imagine wearing a 40mm in my bag all day though.If you aren't putting a hammer to the back of this chisel it's not the right tool; The back isn't FLAT flat, it came a relatively large extra bevel ground onto the face, it would take some serious material removal to get this anywhere near an edge worth using for proper woodworking. You certainly could tune it up real nice but I don't see it holding a fine edge like a harder chisel. Keep this tool in it's lane and you'll be happy.They should just sell the sheath honestly...

Firstly, the pictures lists the chisel at 11 inches, the description says 10", but the actual length is 10.5 (see attached pictures but the camera distorts the measurements some).The main reason I bought this chisel was the sheath. It fits perfectly inside an apron or tool belt without risking cutting the pocket (or the person wearing it).The actual bevel angle of the chisel is 26 or 27 degrees, and I wish they would make it 25 as advertised. I like to have a 25 degree main bevel and then sharpen the tip to 27/30 degrees which makes it much faster to sharpen. If the primary bevel is too steep you have to sharpen the entire face of the bevel every time which takes longer. The bottom of the chisel was surprisingly pretty flat and didn't require much work.Also I love the angled handle design that prevents the handle from hitting the edge of a workpiece. It makes it a better all around chisel for everything except chopping mortises. (Also FYI, these are called "cranked neck chisels" for anyone who likes that style of chisel for woodworking.)The nylon end cap is a nice detail. Chisels with a metal end are probably more durable but when you hit them with a metal hammer they are super loud and harsh on your ears. The nylon butt is much quieter.

Buyer beware: I purchased this quality made chisel specifically for the sheath that it’s advertised as coming with. That’s how I justified spending the extra money on such a tool.The tool itself is 5 ☆ quality-but I hate being taken advantage of and deceived.I considered returning it when the sheath was I included but have resorted to making my own protection for it.

Hehehe... Just kidding but this is damn nice. Having this on the belt makes me feel more macho. But back to the tool, it is a fine tool. Great built and even without conditioning it, it is already very sharp
