Lightening knocked out my original Controller so ordered this as a replacement. It came with everything I needed to install and get operational. Took about an hr to install and reprogram. Works just as good as the original so far, and I now have it connected to a surge protector...

Replaced the same unit with the new one.The old one was (I found out later) in perfect working condition. The battery had died. I reused the old one in a friends system. Worked out perfectly.

My Pro-C was professionally installed and worked flawlessly for 7 years, at which time it was destroyed by a lightening strike. This unit duplicates the Pro-C’s functions, exactly, and at a considerably lower price point. Plus, it has new features not available in my original unit.Re-wiring is simple because the terminals are a one-to-one match. Note: To access the terminal strip, you simply snap off the cover which is located on the bottom of the FRONT panel. (Since this is a homeowner’s unit, it would be nice if this was shown in the instructions, instead of having to remove the four screws, on the back panel, to find this out.)

Easy install, easy programming, lots of neat options and functions, dependable. The old one got nailed by lightning after 13 years. This one works the same, which is nice. Consistency across the years is a wonderful thing!

This worked perfectly for a replacement. My old unit had sparked and burned up part of the control panel! The wiring was super easy, but the actual connections were a bit of a challenge because there was not much room to make the wire connections to the screws. Overall, the total replacement time took maybe twenty minutes - the hardest part was removing the old system! I love the options for additional senors, and that it is a much slimmer design than my old one.DIY Tips:1. Take a photo of your pre-existing wire set up.2. If you cannot figure out a wiring element due to symbols/codes looking different, you can search this device and Hunter has a wiring guide.

I use 2 of these located inside my garage to control my outdoor sprinkler system. No problem installing it. I do recommend you draw of picture of where your colored wires are connected to the faulty controller. Makes installation go smoothly! The faulty one lasted for 15+ years.

This product works well. It is best if you set it to 24h mode because some of the readouts on the screen for am and pm are way too small to read. Otherwise this is a really great product and great value for the money.

Installation is easy and this controller is well designed and built. My only complaint is they should have a BIG sticker on the unit reminding installers to REMOVE PLASTIC STRIP FROM Li Ion BATTERY compartment to activate the battery as a backup power source. Fortunately the Li Ion battery is only needed for the date and time. The programming of run days and run times is not affected by a power outage if you forget to remove that tiny strip of plastic. This is one of the most user friendly sprinkler controllers on the market.
