The original color-coded diaphragm system from Wayne Carlton's Calls is still the standard by which other elk calls are judged. The Beginner Red Single Reed produces cow/calf and young bull sounds and is a great call for beginners. The Super Blue Double Reed produces everything from cow calls to mid- and long-range elk bugles. The Herd Bull Triple Reed produces deep, nasally cow calls and loud, deep-tone bugles. The new Cow & Calf call rounds out the pack. Made with moisture-resistant Infinity Latex and an aluminum frame that allows for custom fitting to the user’s palate, it comes with a durable plastic call case.

These were a lot more technical than some of the other elk calls I have used. Wouldn’t recommend for beginners

In the beginning of the calls are a little bit stiff but with time and use it become flexible. I also like the fact that they seem that they use that latex that is much more durable than in another model that I had already used. Time will tell if this is true or not and that they hold up to more use so that they can be used while hunting for a longer length of time.

Fits easily in cheek area when shooting. No hard plastic to get in the way. Great sound, easy to use. Can use for elk, turkey, or goose. All it takes is these calls and practice...

Seem cheap compared to the other elk calls I have used. Harder for me to work by far. Latex is super thin looking to.

Quick delivery, easy to use. I was able to call in some elk, good communication sounds with the calls. Haven’t gotten a elk yet. But not the calls fault!
