What is a decoder ballast?
Decoding ballast, also called CAN-BUS ballast, is a ballast with decoding protocol. Because there are more and more European and American cars and Korean cars, and new cars are equipped with trip computers and protocols, so if this part of the car wants to be modified with HID bulb or add light bulb, the light bulb must be consistent with the original car agreement, otherwise it will interfere with some electronic equipment inherent in the car such as the driving computer and the dashboard, turn signals, and audio speakers.The decoding ballast is used when modify or installing a xenon lamp, the ballast with a decoding protocol can be used to light the lamp, which can maintain the agreement with the original car and remove some malfunctions.

it works, I've wanted HID's for years in my RAM, anyone with these trucks know the tripping caused by the canbus system, once I added these to my HID's i'm no longer having the issue of the HID's shutting off - they work perfectly and there are no lights on my dash illuminating. works perfectly with my auto function as well. very pleased.

Great product. Ballast are quality products. No flickering. The light output is white Bright and consistent. Installed on a Honda Pilot 07, LX. I used the premium ballast, on the OEM projectors and went with a pair of 5K HIDs for maximum visibility.All I can say is Amazing results. The lights seems to get brighter and brighter with each use, and so far I have around 2-3 hours on them with night driving so maybe they get brighter- not a whole lot of use.Great product! Easy to install took ten- fifteen minute max. I got the premium, and it was plug and play. I researched at least 20-25 other products and by far these were the best ballast that were available with great reviews.Here’s the links to the HIDs that I used:

I have been using several other companies and I was using one of the major names in the market howeverI started running into ignition errors and it took me a while and some purchases to run down the weak linkHYB is running the best transformer plus the fact that they draw the additional amps during light up, it help on faking out the computer so the error message does not come up and the light reacts a few seconds faster.

Worked great… for maybe a month. Passenger side went out and started making a buzzing noise, tested the bulb with a good ballast and the bulb was still working. Replaced passenger side with the original halogen, and a day later the driver side went out, tested that bulb too and was still working. Do not buy.

Good replacement for the ballast that came with my aftermarket lights. I would have given it five stars but there is a flicker when I turn on my high beams. Price was great. We'll see how long they last.

They work somewhat for the Dodge Dart, they'll stop the flickering of the lights but for the error code message low beam lights out appearing on the dashboard it'll still pop up once high beam are on.. so for the most part it works IG

They were well built and came with all the components. The double sided tape didnt stick well so suggest using cable ties or screws to hold in place
