Your cart is empty. Hydraulic Log splitter cylinder rebuild seal kit for 4.5"Bore x 1.75" rod cylinder
To know whether it fits your cylinder, one good way is to disassemble and measure your cylinder to compare with each item specification. Double check each seal groove is good for our part sitting in.
1. Cylinder tube Bore (I.D.) 4.5" x rod (O.D) 1.75". Please note: 4.5" bore size is not Cylinder tube O.D. Cylinder rod size is inside tube part size.
2. Wear rings.
Piston wear ring : 114.3 mm (OD 4.5") x 107.95mm (ID 4.25”) x 9.53mm (0.375" wide), Nylon
Rod wear ring : 44.5mm (ID 1.752") x 50.8mm (OD 2”) x 9.53mm (0.375" wide), Nylon
3. Piston seals
1 square ring and 1 O-ring. Piston Square ring: 114.3 mm x104.3mm x 3.28mm; O-ring (installed under the square ring): 103mm x 2.65mm. CPU + NBR
4. Rod O-ring (item 13): 44.5mm x 54mm x 5mm, CPU. There is O-ring inside.
5. Rod dust ring (Item 12): 44.5mm x 54mm 5.5mm /7.3mm,TPU
Below is 4.5"Bore x 1.75" rod cylinder Specification that OEM made by this seal kit:
Retracted (center to center between rod mountain hole and clevis hole: 32.4”
Extended (center to center same as above): 56.4”
Stroke: 24±0.05”
Dimension from center of clevis hole to back face of cylinder: 2.95”
Dimension from center of rod end hole to front face of rod: 1.06”
Dimension from center of rod end hole to front face of cylinder: 1.18
Ports: 1/2" NPT
Dimension from port to port: 25.4”
Rod: 1.75" rod
Rod end mountain hole: 0.55”
Clevis Mountain hole: 1.16”
Dimension between mountain clevis to clevis: 0.87”
Thickness of each mountain clevis: 0.375”

Gasket blew on the ram for my log splitter. It’s a pain to get the ram disassembled but these seem to fit right. After reassembly and topping off the hydraulic fluid I ran and split wood for about 4 hours and everything seemed fine. I have a lot of wood to split soon so we will see if them hold up.

I was actually a bit surprised as the log splitter cylinder I needed to rebuild was quite old. Fit perfectly, worked like a charm.

4.5 That's Right 4½ inch right here this is it. Found it all of it. Every seal it took to seal up that log splitter. Dang babe is making me work again. 😂

Original seals split about 90 cords of fir on my Speeco 25 ton before the rod seal failed. Hopefully this set performs the same. The kit is a perfect match for my 4 1/2" cylinder. A couple o-rings left over. I didn’t bother grinding off the weld and removing the piston to replace the 2 orings between it and the rod. Maybe next time.

Heart sank when I opened the box and it said 5" x 1.75. I ordered a 4.5". opened it anyway and it ended up being tagged wrong.
