How many shop lights should I need to light up my garage?
e.g. Each light will cover 10ftx10ft area when installed at 8-10ft, If you have a 20ftx15ft garage that can park two cars, (20*15)/(10*10)=3，so you may need 3pcs of them to light up the whole space.
This light can also be used as overhead Workbench Light with the 60" power cord and pull chain switch.

My garage is 28 x 18. 4 of those is the perfect number and will light up everything.Super easy to install. You may need to buy some cord extension or attach a thread if you are going to place those on the ceiling. Coz the switch is a cord pull that is about 7 inches long

My fluorescent shop lights were dozens of years old & began to go out. You can see these in my photo leaning against my workbench. I researched replacements and found that LED upgrades were the better route to go with lower electricity costs and longer life span. Surprisingly, these cost less than replacing or repairing my florescent fixtures! The biggest plus was the upgraded brightness with LED lamps offering more lumens. I bought these as a pair at a great price, less expensive than comparable shop lights of all sorts. They arrived swiftly, well packed with all mounting hardware and power cords. These four foot long shop lights actually take up less space than my two-bulb florescent fixtures they replace. They are considerably lighter too! Included in the package are chains to hang the fixture with along with a hook that can be embedded in a wood stud. Also included are anchors for sheetrock with mounting screws. I elected to use the chains as my ceiling has the popcorn texture preventing a flush mount with screws and anchors.This took me about ten minutes start to finish including removal of the old fixture! There is a three-prong grounded plug with nice cable length attached. Each fixture also has a three-prong outlet that you can use to daisy chain one fixture to another allowing greater reach away from the outlet. A chain-pull on/off switch is built in but I have my outlet on a wall switch, so I leave the chain switch on all of the time.The light output from each fixture is very bright indeed! Mine are mounted close to the wall, directly over my workbench and I'm extremely satisfied with the increased brightness on my bench. I like these so much that I plan to purchase a couple more double packs for the center of the shop and for another hobby room!

These arrived early to my surprise. The brightness is wonderful, but I am concerned at how hot the metal housing became soon after turning the unit on. I would be apprehensive to surface mount them. I'm not certain if the diffuser that covers the light could come off or not, but that might cool it.

These plug in, so if you are like me you will have to add a box to convert the old hard wired light to an outlet. However, with that said, these are very bright 13000 lumen each is just fantastic!! I put two (1 set) in my garage and they work great. You can plug up to 3 into each other, so I just ordered a single unit to max out my chain. I have a 2+1 garage so these are in the +1 area (back half of the 2nd car) so the 3rd unit will be closer to the car area of the 2nd spot. I work on a muscle car and these light will make a big difference.

I replaced 2- 2 bulb fluorescent fixtures in my laundry room with 2 of these lights and it has to be at least 5 times brighter. They are also thinner in height and width much more compact. Great lights hope they last a long time.

Arrived very quickly, no damage, no smell, specifications were as described. Install was very easy as I was replacing fluorescent hanging lights in garage with this. What an improvement, I can actually SEE in my garage now and the frigid cold temps we get have no impact.

It's nice to be able to link them up to each other with the attached cord & plug. I have installed six (6) of them inside my garage and it makes any kind of work easy due to being able to see so clearly and accurately. Recommended.
