I have only used these drills in softwood, so I can't speak to their longevity in hardwoods. They are sharp, and the brad point means no wandering at all. They've been working well for me. I like their holder, which is clearly marked with the sizes.

I bought the 19 pc. metric brad point drill bit set. It was packaged well, delivered on time, but was missing two drill bits . I reached out to Migiwata the seller. They asked for my mailing address and sent me a whole new set. I was only asking for the two that were missing. that surprised me. I used them on a project that used metric dowels. The bits are very sharp cut clean. For the price and quality I defiinitly would recommed

I would give the drill set five stars, but the drill holder/enclosure is poor quality: flimsy and difficult to open and close. I will make my own. Also, the 3mm and 5mm drills were bent, and I have had to replace them.

A few of the bits were bent and unusable. The 8mm bit has something wrong with the tip and it is also unusable. I mostly bought it for the smaller bits and other than the 3mm bit the smaller ones are ok.

I bought brad point bits to accurately locate and reduce tear-out in holes I was drilling in a project. These left horrible tear-out on the project's surfaces. I have not tried the larger bits (largest I needed was 4 mm), but I have no reason to expect they would be any different.They may be fine for rough carpentry, but not for fine woodworking.
