HyperX Linear Switches are key switches that have taken the successful foundation of our Red switches and refined them into a more agile, more versatile package. These 5-pin switches are compatible with most 5-pin hot-swappable keyboards, so you even if you don’t have a HyperX keyboard, you can still enjoy the benefits of these high-performance switches. HyperX Linear Switches feature half-wall stems, increasing keycap stability when executing rapid taps or in other high-pressure situations. The switches also come pre-lubed, so you can enjoy smooth, quiet, responsive keypresses right out of the box. Built to last with a durable nylon base to support the leaf, spring, and stem, and with a crystal-clear polycarbonate top, these reliable switches are rated for a lifetime of up to 80 million keypresses.

I switch around my switches a lot (ha ha), and can say these are definitely a solid option! The travel profile is really nice in my opinion, crisp and short. I am a fan of linear switch profiles and really liked these. The design of the switch base is great because it lets a lot of light in, and they worked in all of the keyboards I tried them in with any of my keycaps.Definitely a solid product!

𝘁𝗹;𝗱𝗿: Good switches with smooth plastic, consistent lube, and decent sound, but marred by high price, inadequate 45-pack quantity, and overhyped marketing┈╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍┈𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:The switches overall are pretty decent, but the marketing, packaging, and translation are overall confusing and lead to a degraded experience.🌟 The switches themselves are good. The plastic is cast fairly smooth, and the factory lube is relatively consistent (though slightly variable between switches). I appreciate the POM bottom, and I think the switch sounds alright.Where I have issues are mainly with three points: price, quantity, and reinventing the wheel.💰 Price: At the time of writing, these are $0.50 per switch. While that’s not necessarily in the premium range, it’s higher than some more budget options that, in my opinion, offer a superior typing feel.🔢 Quantity: What’s up with the 45-pack? Most keyboard users have a 60% form factor and up, and 45 switches aren’t enough. While it’s common to buy multiple small packs in the mechanical keyboard community, HyperX isn’t a small vendor. They should just sell a 100-pack or something similar. This is especially frustrating because it doesn’t mention anywhere (except on the non-pictured product box) that this is a 45-pack. You either have to cross your fingers or rely on reviewers for that info.🆕 Reinvention: HyperX is leaning heavily into the “half wall stem,” describing it on all their switches. However, it’s just Kailh’s box switch with half the walls removed. Does it reduce wobble? Sure, but it’s a lot of marketing for a feature they didn’t invent.Overall, a decent switch with a frustrating buying experience.

I got the crazy idea to switch out just the WASD part of my keyboard, it's pretty interesting. These were easy to use, drop-in.

Decided to check out these linear switches from HyperX, and they are a pretty nice typing experience. The smoothness of these switches is great, the keystrokes feel effortless, making them perfect for gaming and extended typing sessions. The low actuation force of just 45g allows for swift and precise responses. While the switches are well lubed and have minimal wobble, the pricing is on the higher side compared to some budget options that offer a superior typing feel. Despite that, they are an excellent choice for those seeking high performance switches for typing or gaming. Especially if you want something extremely smooth, responsive, and will keep going after thousands of gaming sessions.

For the price, they’re okay at best. I used these as part of a build but the amount per pack is a bit confusing, it’s not enough for a full 60% but two of them is but then you have a lot left over but- you get the point. They’re very loud and clicky, and they have about the same reaction as offbrands. Overall wasn’t super impressed.
