This just what it describes. A thin black pillbox shaped hat that definately works well as a chef's hat and has an ajustable band for big heads. I'm very happy with this purchase and it was cheap.

Other reviews mention how it's larger than they expected. I found that it actually fits my large head perfectly. I can never find ball caps that fit. I needed something reusable to keep my hair contained in my lab, and this white one will work great. Now I look like one of the guys from Chernobyl.

This is a hat like professional line cooks wear. It's a lot bigger than I expected (and I've got a big head!). So you may want to order a size smaller than you think you need. It's adjustable, so you can tailor it to your size. Nice quality.

Most chef hats are too small for my head so I purchased this large one but this one is entirely too big for my head.
