About this item

  • Serve Wet or Dry - Serve a classic, tried and true, crunchy bowl of oven-baked kibble or simply add a splash of water to make instant, savory bone broth gravy—chef’s choice. Either way, ya can’t go wrong.
  • Turkey Hearts #1 Ingredient - Containing a boatload of vitamins and minerals, organ meat helps maintain your pup’s muscles, gives ‘em a shiny coat, and a healthy heart.
  • Protein-Rich - Packed with 28% protein to help build your pet’s muscle and boost their energy.
  • Pre & Probiotics for Easy Digestion - Nature’s mighty little biotics work hard to ensure your pet’s gut is in tiptop shape, and smooth digestion leads to smooth, well, you know…
  • Non-GMO Protein & Produce - We make food with au naturel veggies and fruit—grown from the ground up like the good old days. I.E. None of our ingredients are made in a lab.
  • Grain-Free - Absolutely no corn, wheat, rice, soy, or oats in sight. We don’t pack your pet’s food with grains just to help us save a buck or two.
  • Filler-Free - Unlike other brands, we don’t use ingredients like rice or corn to bulk out your pet’s food because we know there’s little nutritional value and it can contribute to obesity and lethargy.

Before dogs considered squeaky toys key to their survival, they lived in the wild and foraged for themselves. Our dehydrated dog food, crafted in small batches, delivers a taste and texture that harkens back to those days with recipes that are highly digestible, nutritious, and bursting with flavor. Each raw meal is packed with real ingredients you can see - like delectable beef hearts, and fruits and veggies like sweet potatoes, carrots, cranberries and papaya. Freeze-dried raw dog food is also considered safe and convenient because there’s less risk of contamination compared to traditional raw food. BONUS: when you add water, your pet's meal quadruples in size!

My dog (and my cat) is obsessed. She goes wild for this food. We began using following surgery to try to encourage her to eat, and it has remained a huge hit! Serve rehydrated with warm water, or feed some of this small bits as training treasures, and watch it disappear! *Note - it does come as more of a powder than some other brands, so serve with at least some water added.

I have tried a few products from this brand and have come to find it as a trustworthy brand to serve my dogs, so I was happy to give this one a try. I find it very difficult, for multiple reasons, to feed my dogs a raw diet, but I love the idea of adding some to their current food. I use these kinds of things as toppers, rather than the whole meal. This one does seem to be a good option. I like that the bag contains all of the important information; ingredients, guaranteed analysis, calorie content, statement of meeting AAFCO levels, manufacturing information, feeding chart, storage info and expiration date. The bag even tells you that you can make it up to 4 days in advance and store it in the fridge, which is a helpful suggestion. The bag reseals to keep it fresh and the expiration date gives you about a year to use the whole bag. It is pretty easy to prepare. You just mix the dry food with water and wait about 15 minutes for it to be ready. This is the tricky part because your dogs smell the food you are preparing and hover around you begging to try it now. This is why making some in advance comes in handy. You may need to play with the ratio of food to water a bit depending on the thickness your dog prefers. I found my first mix to be quite runny and they didn't seem to love it too much. After I have messed with the ratio a bit they seem to like it more. The soft food would be very easy for a dog that has difficulty with harder foods. When used as a topper, this bag has quite a bit in it and will last for a long time. It states that it will make up to 12 pounds of food, which is not bad for a small, 3 pound bag. My dogs don't seem to love this as much as some other options, but they do eat it. Even the picky eater will eat this food after a few minutes of contemplation. This does seem to be a good quality product.

Two paws up from both my dogs. They only problem they have is patiently waiting 15 minutes for the food to reconstitute in water.

I was really looking forward to offering this to our dogs as another food source and for me as a backup for the raw food I make them. I followed directions, put it down for them and they gave it a sniff and looked at me like I was crazy. They knew I was disappointed so they kind of snuck away, ears back, looking down…I tried a couple more times with different textures. Complete refusal. One Boston, one Frenchie and one Frenchton.

9/28/2024: I AND LOVE AND YOU Stir and Boom Dehydrated Freeze Dried Raw Dog Food - Chicken - Grain Free, Real Meat, No Fillers, 3lb BagI've tried other products from this brand and they've been consistently high quality. This is no exception, I'm very happy with the quality and the ingredients.I like how light-weight freeze-dried dog food is. They claim that a 3lb bag can make up to 12lbs of food, which seems reasonable. I just use this as a topper, so it'll last a good long time. You're supposed to add warm water, stir, and then wait 15 minutes before serving. My dog is very impatient, so I prepare it in advance. The bag says you can prepare up to 4 days in advance, which is nice to know (since I was going to make a few meals at a time anyway).I followed the directions for the ratio of food to water (1:2), but ended up with a soupy mess. The heavier bits kept sinking and even after 15 minutes it didn't really seem to have a consistent texture. If the topper I use is not thick enough, I can't coat all the dry food well enough to get my dog to actually eat his kibble. He just licks off the "good" stuff and leaves the dry food behind (then he is hungry all day and constantly begging for treats). So I added more food to the mixture and stirred it in to the by then room temperature water and after another 5-10 minutes that did the trick. This is approximately 2 parts food to 1 part water now. I think it looks really gross (like regurgitated dog food), but luckily I'm not the one eating it. My dog loves it!The price seems high but it's not bad for high quality freeze-dried raw dog food. For my particular dog, he's just as happy with much cheaper wet food so I'm not sure if I'll keep getting this for him unless it goes on sale. He does like it a lot though, so I'll keep an eye on the price.

We love the clean ingredients of this dog food and rotate between the beef and turkey. I usually only get it when it's on sale but when I do I'll stock up on a couple bags. Between this and Grandma Lucy's, and Only Natural Pet, we are glad to have three brands that we can rotate with healthy ingredients and enough regular sales for us to usually only snag them when they're discounted. Plus, my dog cleans her bowl happily, especially when I add yummy toppers.

My siberian husky male does well on this! He usually isn't a picky eater, but he has health issues that sometimes cause him to vomit in the morning. He usually has a weak stomach and gets loose stool very easily with any change in his diet. Following the transition instructions on the bag, he had no problems adjusting and had no loose stool at all. In fact, his stool ever since starting it was more firm and consistent. The first time I tried feeding this, I went with mixing with the warm water as instructed. My dog didn't have any trouble eating it up. The next time, I tried just adding it as a dry topper on top of his food and to my surprise, he liked it even better. Don't be afraid to experiment! This particular mix somehow smells like celery, but I don't see it on the bag. Must be something else in the ingredients. Whatever it is, it makes my dog go nuts whenever he hears the sound of the bag!
