About this item

  • 5-string Banjo with Mahogany Bowl and Neck
  • Remo Weatherking Head - Natural
  • Rolled-brass Tone Ring
  • Rosewood Fingerboard
  • Basswood Rim

The Ibanez B200 Banjo is a throwback to a simpler era - a time before countless hair bands put Ibanez on the map as a premier maker of metal weaponry. Yes, Ibanez was a highly respected banjo manufacturer, and even collaborated on a signature model with the late, great Earl Scruggs. Ibanez is back in the banjo biz. The B200 sports a basswood rim, a rolled-brass tone ring, and a toneful mahogany bowl. The smooth-playing neck, with its gorgeous pearl fingerboard inlay, also benefits from Ibanez's considerable experience in designing shredtastic guitars. Check out the Ibanez B200. This was the awesome playing little banjo It is a good quality. And I really enjoyed picking this little Bando. For the money, you just can’t beat it. It’s got the quality of some of your most higher price banjos.

We received the banjo early. That was nice. It is a surprise gift for a friend. The box arrived partially opened. The box was flimsy to begin with. It was directly from the merchant (Adorama - which appears to be a camera store! Odd.).Inside the shipping box was the triangular-shaped box that would be familiar to anyone who has purchased a stringed instrument in the past. This inner box had a large gash on it, but the banjo seemed okay. There was nothing inside the box other than the banjo and a couple little tools - probably to adjust the neck. There was no paperwork and no manual. I want to emphasize that the banjo itself looks really nice. Usually can't go wrong with Ibanez. It's just the way the product got to our house that was disturbing. We will be presenting the banjo to our friend next week. Hoping he finds that it tunes up and plays well.

This is a pretty banjo. But, the tuning pegs won't keep the strings tuned. You may need new tuning pegs if you buy this banjo

Incredible bang for your buck banjo. This banjo will last you until your bluegrass band is making you enough money to pay for something top of the line - and in my opinion, most average banjo players will be happy with this instrument for life!
