The instrument is obviously machine-made, but it is finished well and dramatically resembles the old 1923 Gibson F-5. The tone may be a bit rough by comparison to the old Gibsons, but it has a good loud melodic voice.

Surprisingly well made and good tone for such a low priced F-style. I am a serious player with a handmade, custom-built F-style. I bought this to keep on my boat, and for the money, did not have high expectations. It definitely feels and sounds like a more expensive instrument!

First it is pretty, and the finish and inlays, binding are done well. So yes its nice to look atIam good at set ups and have worked on Mandos a few time,s with good sucess.I have it playable but not comfortable.Next step is to level and crown the frets, Than it could be fine.I hope so i want to keep it..

My Grandfather played the Mandolin and I always wanted to give it a try. This is a beautiful Mandolin and has a beautiful tone. I am very happy with our purchase.

The sound is what I would expect, but there are major QC issues. The binding is gouged, and has staining from improper scraping during the build. The curls biding is not fully cut out in some places, and huge chunks are missing from other places. The binding job looks amateurish at best. That said, the sound is bright, and has good tone. The strings are meh, but that’s to be expected.Bottom line, the sound is what I would expect, but the finishing was subpar.

Very cheaply made instrument, not worth the money. The neck and fretboard were broken away from the main body of the mandolin exposing a cheap glue job and centring dowel when I took the mandolin out of the packaging. I suggest people should buy or save for one of the hand carved models such as The Loar.
