Used this to remove a series of Op Amps in my budget hi-fi amplifiers. With a little wiggling, it worked a charm. Springy metal with plastic grips. Had solid control and grip of component. Will keep these handy for upcoming swaps as well. Good acquisition. Thumbs up.

What I really like about these for use on IC chips is that they can be closed easily yet are very springy so they return to shape perfectly. Or saying this another way, the metal used is a good thickness but not too thick so as to make them hard to compress. They work perfectly and are a must for working on IC's or if you are rolling op amps or any other chips.
