1.5 c heavy cream1.5 c half and half2 T vanilla bean paste (not extract)1 c sugarI am from down south (Arkansas) and I can say I have eaten some very good vanilla bean ice cream. I searched the internet to try and find a good recipe but no one had good measurements. I put these measurements and made the best vanilla bean ice cream I have ever had in my entire life. I mixed the ingredients in a metal bowl so it would stay cold. I stirred up the ingredients completely to make sure the sugar dissolves. Set it back in the fridge for about 10 minutes to give you time to get the ice cream bowl setup properly. Put your mixture out of the fridge, give it a good stir to make sure it didn't separate, pour it into your ice cream maker while it's running because it starts to freeze ASAP (especially if it has been in the back of your freezer for about 2 or 3 days). 20 minutes later you have the BEST VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM you have ever tasted in your life. I hope you enjoy and have fun with you ice cream maker like I have with mine.

Product would be great if the paddle was metal. The cheap plastic broke on first use as ice cream starts to thicken.

This works great! I was not sure how it would go because I have always used a more sophisticated ice cream maker. I'm really pleased with how it works. The only issue I have is pulling out the dasher and scraping the icecream out. I was spoiled with a different icecream maker that dispensed the iceream for me and then there was minimal need to scrape icecream from the dasher and canister...

The plastic connector broke on the first use so the icecream was only ice. I tried to remove the “ice cream†and damaged the inside container.

It works like the KitchenAide model that is twice the cost. However, after use and thawing you can hear the inner chamber liquid. I hope it’s safe.

It is fabulous. It fits perfectly and in 20 mins after putting in the ingredients I have a soft serve ice cream. It couldn’t be easier to use.
