Icom is known for very good vhf components. We bought this device as an extension to our vhf head down below in the cabin. Installation is very easy with plug and play connectors. The product came in undamaged, unopened and was in perfect condition. Works great.

This item arrived DOA. I contacted the seller, no help what so ever then called ICOM to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. After less than 10 minutes the ICOM rep said the unit is bad. I started the return process on Amazon and was told I had to pay the return shipping. Called the seller back, they said they would email me a label, it never arrived, 5 calls later still nothing. Now to avoid the return being rejected I have to pay to send the unit back. I guess they got what they wanted.Purchased another one from a different seller, works fine.

Solid Icom quality remote mic that replicates the UI of my new 424G radio. The handset is quite bulky, nearly the size of a hand-held. The new mic's pigtail cable is irritating in being incompatable with my original CommandMIC II cable. I discovered, however, that the extension which is supplied with the mic will plug into the remaining CommandMIC II extension cable, so I avoided having to pull a new cable (which would have been so tortuous that I likely would have returned the product). Icom says this practice is not recommended but compared to the extreme pain of pulling a new cable, I'll take my chances.

The product is ok. The seller less is more has a unreasonable return policy so beware before you buy from less is more

Exact replacement for the mic that we had. Plugged it and nothing. Lights up but doesn't work

Just after the 3 year warranty expired the volume for the speaker failed,, this is in an enclosed cabin
