With any of ICON’s color options you can know they are UV-protected. White, Clear or any of the Smoke options have material that is protected. Nothing is worse than having a nice viewport become hazy, yellowed and less aesthetically pleasing due to UV damage.

Nobody wants to have a vacation cut short due to a very vital component such as your skylight failing. Skylights are not only exposed to sunlight and UV, but they can also be subject to intense weather, hail, tree branches and other such impacts. This is why ICON uses a THICK polycarbonate material that results in domes that have unmatched impact resistance.
Beyond material, important design considerations have been made to improve the durability of ICON skylights. Simple, but meaningful trimming is done to prevent flange lifting and to create an effective surface to seal to the RV roof. Pre-drilled holes are provided on the flange for most models. These holes are enlarged to allow for expansion and contraction at the mechanical fastening point.

Next, carefully position the dome over the prepared opening, and secure it in place using the screws.

Very well made and easy to install. I had to replace my old skylight in my 2000 Forest River. We couldn't find the original size. So we just went big. More natural light and more headroom. LöLSometimes bigger is better 😌

So found our broke around the fange after the winter. Called local dots oh we can order one. But we need to see the old first. WHAT??? So I measured it searched and this one was close just a hair bigger. Worked great. AldReady had the sealant put it on and wow we surely got a fantastic deal!!! Just go on YouTube. Several good videos about doing this and ours was a rubber roof and so u want to be careful with your mineral spirits. Took me about 1 hr total and very happy for the ole girls skylite

I though "smoke" color would be darker, but it is 90%+ Also, the screw holes didn't line up.Tha said, it easily cleared the inner dome and appeared to be of very high quality. It didn't come with screws or sealant, so it was good I bought them at the same time.
