I'm a low Voltage technician and one of my biggest struggles is finding an I.P adress of a camera that I can't see in a view or the customer doesn't know. The ability to turn on POE and be able to find the ip and bring up the view without a laptop and or POE injector is a GOD SEND. For a surveillance camera technician & IT technician, this tool is amazing. From older coax/serial-based cameras to newer IP/POE cameras, this tool is a BEAST for testing cameras and prepping/testing/tracing installation sites.The array of network test tools makes it ideal for IT technicians to use it for testing and tracing cabling also.I love it so far.One recommendation for everyone that uses this or any other network/camera test tool, is to put all wear and tear cable connector stress on an extended "port saver" type dongle, so the only RJ45 or coax connections of the tool itself are far less likely to get worn out or broken from regular connect/disconnects.

I had this unit for less than a year and it doesn't work with my new cameras and not the manufacture nor the seller wants to make good on it. it was almost $800 and before a year it didn't work with new equipment. Very disappointed in the companies I did business with. stay away from MegaRetailStore SecuriTEST IP(Trend Network. Trend says they released a new unit in December and nothing they can do. I would think since it was within the year they would have replaced it since they can't upgrade it. so Buyer beware.
