This is a way to change to small male distributor cap for the duraspark system. Otherwise you would have to change out your plug wires so saves you money, works perfectly and as long as your not using this for a race car (highRPM's) it works fine using a FD 311 rotor (dizzy), common rotor.If your having spark problems it's most likely the dura spark module or bad grounding

I bought this as a replacement distributor cap for a dual point distributor on a 65 Mustang. Yes, it fits a Ford distributor once you remove the plastic tab on the side to allow it to lock onto the distributor. I needed the male terminals on this cap to go along with my current spark plug wires, and this worked out great.

Good luck finding plug wires for the old female duraspark cap. This fits with one small mod on the cap. Where the vac advance is, it needs to have a corresponding notch on the cap. (5min job) Now order away on plug wires. Don't forget a male coil. Or butcher a old wire and call it a day. I reused my old rotor.
