You can just take one or two small flat head screwdriver to use in one or two separate spots.,slip the small flat head screwdriver under the black base,and slowly and gently pry the base off. Then the new base snaps on easily.

Was disappointed. It will not stay in the slot where it is supposed to go. One of the little bars keeps bending and eventually will break off. Is there anything you can do for me. Thank You

It’s does not state it in the description but this knob also fits the 06-15 NC MX-5 with the AKE keyless ignition switch. Works fine on my 07 NC Miata.
