Important Notice: The ignition security immobilizer module that is connected to the electrical plug needs to be taken off from the old ignition switch and reused on this new one.
There's a removal and installation video on You Tube, you can take apart the steering wheel column and get it replaced.
Immobilizer Keys
When you get the keys, there are two ways to restart the car:
1.Remove the 48 transponder chip from your old keys and put into the new keys without additional cost.;
2.Go to the locksmith or dealership to program the new transponder chips and fobs to match the car.

I was a little worried about some of the reviews. Because of the keys not working. Did everything that they say. I took out the guts from the old key including the chip and installed it into the new one and everything worked like a charm. I didn’t try to program the new keys so not sure about that.

2005 honda accord ex. The keys do not program. Locks and ignition work just fine but I was unable to program the keys. I ended up just buying another set of keys of Amazon for $20 and swapped the internals out to these keys so I didn't have to get the new keys cut and everything programmed fine and works well. Definitely worth it just make sure to order another set of keys that can actually be programmed.

Got kit. Ignition housing was correct got that installed just fine but the keys would not program being the transponders came up as a GM transponder not a Honda when the locksmith tried to program them. So can't program the keys or the remote. Installed in a 2005 Honda Accord. Not impressed with wrong parts coming in kit. Plus trunk lock cylinder is wrong.

This is a great product, and it worked really well for me. After you take off the old lock assembly, by removing the security bolts with a hammer and a chisel, you have to take the Immobilizer OFF of the old uint and put it on the new unit. The immobilizer is the black box, on the same side as the keyhole, that is mounted on the side, and extends around the keyhole. It is the ONLY part NOT included on the new assembly.You do NOT have to replace anything else from the old assembly. Once you do this you have to take the chip from the OLD key, and put it in the NEW key. Here is where I had a problem. The car would turn over, but the green key light would blink. I tried starting it a few more times, and then IT STARTED! But, when I turned the car off, it wouldn't start again. Again with the green key light. It continued like this the next few times I tried. It would sometimes start, and sometimes NOT start. I finally realized the problem. The NEW KEYS have their OWN transponder chip. It does NOT look like the little black trapezoidal chip in the original key, it looks like a little clear cylinder, with a tiny copper wire in it. I took the NEW key's cylindrical chip OUT of the new key, leaving only my original chip in the new key, and now it starts every time without fail. Apparently, the new key's chip can interfere with the old key's chip. Other than that, I had absolutely no problem getting this to work. Hope this review helps someone!

The ignition switch is of O K quality but will work. the keys they send you does not have the correct programing chip. The car would not start after the you-tube video so had a key programer come to my house. We figured out that the chip was not the correct one so I cut out the chip from old key and glued it into the new key fob. Now it works. Don't try the very vague instructions! I have not tried the other locks yet, using the key fob for now. I am a retired mechanic of just a few months so I am very experienced.

Most people aren’t switching out both chips. In order for this to work, you have to switch out both chips from the old key and replace them with the ones in the new key. Also, take the lock from your old key switch and attach it to the new key switch. Once you do this the keys will work! I love this product.
