This is a nice small light for mounting above a plate. I actually am using this on an off road trailer used for camping, the plate is not located near the trailer lights so could not use the conventional plate lighting and this wired in simply and just screws on at top of plate. Good bright light on both the plate and backup lights (I tested the backup but did not wire them in for my use). The power wires for each are separate making it easy to hook up and wire in properly

The truth is that I've had this installed for half the winter. So far had held up strong. It only lost a star for having unually this wires and the fact that it was so bright, i was afraid to blind drivers behind me. After seeing all the bad reviews for water shorting it out. I decided to coat all the seems and openings with a sealant. So far hasn't given me trouble. I put black ducttape around the sides and rear to prevent from distracting anyone behind me, Since i wasnt using the backup light.

This light is really cheap, but overall it looks really nice, I looked up other lights and they are kind of the same for more money, the only thing I had to do is protect the wires, I used shrink wrap, I I had to put a dub of silicone where the wire goes in cause there's a hole and water is obviously gonna get in, but for the money I'm happy. I just put it up let's see how it holds up...

Very nice product very bright would buy again ran it to have all lights on when the license plate light come on. 6k light to match all my other 6k lights

This could easily have been given 1 star. I gave it 2 stars because it may work, but only if you install it on the bottom of the license plate.I installed it on the top of the license plate, as shown in the product photos. After a few days of rainy weather, it was full of water and stopped working. It looks like water probably leaked in around the wires, which aren't sealed at all. The wires are on top of the unit when installed on top of the license place. The wires will be on the bottom of the unit, if you install it on the bottom of the license plate, and it may work reliably in that orientation.

lighting is bright. The white washes through into red. . Fixed with a little red lens tape. Also used a little RTV to seal where wires go in and around lens.as it wasn't water tight. The wiring is a little mixed up. Black is ground, fairly normal BUT for some stupid reason the red wire is for the white led and the white wire is for the red led. All in all it satisfies the lighting requirement for license plate on trailer while adding a center brake light. Someone mentioned the mounting hole broke. I didn't have that problem as used washers between bolt and holder and didn't torque it down. Also made sure it sat flat to the license plate.

Nice and bright but not impressed with the durability of it. Only lasted for a few months. Let's see how long this second one is going to last

This product is not made to last. It worked good for 5 months and then stopped. Don't waste money on this.
