Cleanly connects microphone cable to our Android phone to provide sound for webcasting. Works well and like the adjustments it provides (and using AA batteries instead of 9V.)

I am looking for a way to connect my condenser mic directly to an android phone, and I bought the product thinking that the digital connection would produce a better sound quality than the analog counterpart. My setup is running a sing-a-long app on the phone, so I can hear the music as well as my voice through the adapter, while my voice is being recorded by the app. Well the recorded sound does have good quality, but the sound from the monitoring jack is very noisy and a little distorted. I tried with a few different earphones but they all sounded the same. Too bad I would have to return this otherwise good product.Updated: being a tech head, I had suspicion that the distortion was caused by software incompatibility. So I managed to set up a iPad Mini and try again. Indeed the distortion was gone! My theory is that, during recording, the app/OS needs to process both the output and input digital signals, and it cannot do it fast enough, so some of the monitoring signals are dropped to ensure the input quality is as good as possible. Apparently iOS or the app on iOS is doing a better job encoding/decoding these digital signals fast enough to ensure quality.

What else is there to say? It's compact, functional, easy to use. The only problem was the connection point is vulnerable to misalignment.

I use this with my iPhone and DSLR regularly to attach an external microphone when doing recordings. It has worked great 90% of the time! I do get some static when the battery gets low, but that is to be expected. Sound quality is good otherwise. I do wish it had a clip or some other form of attachment though, as sometimes I have to balance it on things to keep it near the camera because the cord is fairly short.

When recording and useing headphones to monitor, it sounds kind of buzzing and able to pickup ambient noises form the neaighbors and outside. It doesn't ever come through on the recording. My recordings sound great though.

Funciona muy bien, la pila de 9volts tiene mucha durabilidad y activa el phantom power sin problema, tomen en cuenta que funciona por medio de USB y no por Jack 3.5, tienes que ver que tu celular tenga entrada y salida de audio por medio del USB, hay equipos con entrada Jack que si tienen esa funcion y los equipos que no tienen entrada para audifonos por default ya saca el audio y microfono por medio del puerto de carga, por lo general no tendras ningun problema si tu smartphone es de gama media-alta o Alta!
