Replaced my OLD mailbox that was attached to the house and broken. Keep thinking it's an "upgrade" and "selling point" when I know it's truly not but it's that beautiful. The door is a nice weight and opens and closes to perfection. My children fight over who gets to get the mail each day, we had to separate by days

Bought this to re place our mailbox. Slightly larger so it can hold USPS deliveries. Nice quality and like plastic holder inside for letters so they won’t get wet.Recommend!

The Ilyapa Black Modern Mailbox is made of steel that's powder coated for rust resistance, true to size at 22" long, 10" wide, and 12" tall. Two flags are included, one red and one black. Unlike another reviewer ours came with lag bolts for bottom mounting to a wooden post. And therein lies the issue. The lag bolt heads stick up above the floor of the box so it's not smooth and mail can't be slid into the box but must be dropped in, otherwise thin items like magazine covers can catch and tear. The mailbox came with the manufacturer's fix for this, a clear piece of vinyl liner with protrusions for where the lag bolt heads stick up which you place on the bottom of the box with no way to fasten it down. If the lag bolts are a must, a stamped piece of aluminum or steel would have been a more permanent solution than the flimsy vinyl. Given the price for the mailbox the use of vinyl for the floor cover can't be justified.

A driver CREAMED our former mailbox. We ordered this mailbox as a replacement and lined it with concrete. The NEXT time someone hit THIS new mailbox, it will take out THEIR side mirrors or part of THEIR VEHICLE!!!

Good choice for a mailbox. I had a metal post and was just replacing, It would more easily go on a wooden post but didn't take much to make it work.

The design of this mailbox leads me to believe out will last longer than the one it replaced. More solid construction and better design with fewer weak points. Door opens and closes more easily to reduce wear and tear.
