Sometimes I Use it

Installing exterior receptacles over existing siding and we didn't want to make a large hole. While these didn't fit my particular siding exactly, it still worked with a bit of caulking. Made a daunting task pretty easy. Screwed it on the wall, drilled a hole, ran wire through, connected to receptacle, added a cover and turned the power on. Has been really nice to get power outside! Sturdy and well made. Good value.

The mounting holes are not threaded and too big to accommodate standard Outlet screws. I needed to buy bigger self-thread screws. No hardware included.

These boxes are great. There's no easier way to install an outlet on siding. The one piece construction means they don't leak. They don't crush the siding or require spacers, and they look great. It's the only box I'll use to put an outlet outside.

Did not quite fit my siding. Filed on them and they fit good enough. Some silicone sealant and we're ok.

These may look like a brand name manufacturer's product but these are inferior in quality. Devices normally mount with 6-32 screws and unfortunately this box has no tapped hole. Unable to use 6-32 screw and need to use 8-32 at a minimum. That makes mounting switches and outlets a little more involved because those devices come with 6-32 screws installed. Maybe if using to mount a light it would be okay, just need to have a tap handy.

Purchased this for old construction outlet add-on. Solid quality. Accepts spray paint well if color matching siding. Note if using on vinyl siding be prepared to alter/deepen notch to sit flush. Use a cheap contour gauge and flap grinder wheel done in 5 minutes. No hardware included so be prepared to factor in cost. Four inside corner holes to mount box self-explanatory on whatever depth you need (1.5-2inch long wood screws). The two top/bottom affixed ears for your outlet or switch plate require #8 threads x 0.75-1 inch long. Use stainless or exterior specific hardware for outside weather applications. Seal outer perimeter with caulk, inner electrical hole with silIcone. This is an inexpensive and great clean looking box...but keep in mind all these add-ons you're gonna need for proper install or fitment especially if using on a vinyl siding modification. All which will exceed the price of the box itself. Not UL listed.

So simple to install on vinyl siding, no more cutting large holes and potentially damaging siding. Just mount box, drill 5/8 hole in back, run wire.

Does not match vinyl siding, worst experience with an Amazon seller to get a refund.
