Despite my ongoing efforts to keep my household at least semi-organized, it is a never ending, losing battle. I will organize a drawer, cupboard, or closet only to have a tornado descend once again after a few days to weeks leaving chaos and wreckage. The utility closet is one of the worst. It is a small, odd shaped little closet built under the stairs and houses the trash can, recycling can, brooms, mops, and on two shelves exists a melange of tools, tape, screws, spray cans, trash and grocery bags, and on and on and on as if the Wicked Witch of the West had taken up residence and wreaked havoc. However, I resigned myself to the fact that the two shelves would never be organized, but the remainder simply had to be. Once the area was cleaned with the cans and boxes of liners, organized, and the floor cleared, I was faced with the problem of mops, brooms, and dust pans. What to do? I had remembered seeing a hanging contraption in a closet at my sister's house that she "bought a million years ago." So I followed the yellow brick road to Amazon...the Emerald City of Shopping. I found a highly popular and rated rack with clamps where the handles of brooms and mops snap in and hooks interspersed hold dust pans, brushes, rags, etc. When the package arrived there was the wooden rack, a small package of screws to attach the rack to the wall, a pre-measured 16 in hanging guide (a strip of paper with a hole on each end 16 inches apart, the standard distance of the wall stud), and instructions. Somehow, in all of the chaos my husband was able to find his drill and stud finder. After finding the studs, marking the holes, drilling the holes, then using the hardware to anchor the rack on the wall we were astounded to note that only about 15 minutes had elapsed. Immediately the mops, brooms, and other cleaning equipment were hung and getting along peacefully. With things beginning to look up, a miracle happened as if Glenda the Good Witch had taken over my husband's senses! He promised to organize the two shelves the following week when he had 3 days off from work. Finally, finally there was hope in Oz.This mop holder is an attractive 17in x 2.5in solid, nicely stained wood and black metal wall rack with pre-drilled mounting holes on each end as noted 16in apart. The entire process of mounting was straightforward and simple. The rack is very sturdy as are the clamps holding the broom and mop handles which just snap in. The clamps are interspaced with black metal hooks for holding rags, dusters, spray bottles, storage bags or any other cleaning horses of different colors. My utility closet is slowing acquiring courage, a heart, and a brain to gallantly travel further down the yellow brick road of this home's organizational journey. I highly recommend this wall rack without reservation.Top 3 Likes:-Quality materials and construction-All inclusive and very easy to install-Attractive and does exactly what it promises-Top 3 Dislikes:-No dislikes!-

It was easy to put up. I have a broom, Swiffer mop,and carpet Sweeper hanging on it plus a handled dust pan . Holds it all, no problem. Looks good too. Very sturdy. Wish I had bought sooner because now everything is organized and in one place. The sale price was a bonus.

Looks fantastic, very easy to install. The provided screws are a bit to long. Used screws I had on hand and works well.

We had no choice but to mount the broom holder in full view, and it's so much classier than plastic ones that it looks more like a decorating accent than a broom holder. The broom handle grips are strong but easy to use. The hooks let us mount additional implements. Mounting was super easy. A stencil for mounting is included, but unnecessary. Some reviewers noted that the screws were too long. I'm guessing that they mounted the unit onto drywall, not realizing that the anchors have a "petal" semi-closure at the end that is designed to be punctured by long screws.

Unlike some broom holders, this one is intelligently designed to be attached to a standard 16"-on-center stud wall. An included template allows you to pre-drill wall holes for the mounting screws for a precise fit. The grabbers hold brooms and mops securely, and hooks between them are perfect for having dust brushes, fly swatters, or whatever. The wood is nicely finished, and the whole thing looks good on the laundry room wall. Very definitely the "pick of the litter" for broom holders.
