First and foremost I'm sorry for your loss. Very small metal urn. The lid threads well and securely. I bought a large urn and these small ones for my daughters when my son passed. This is excellent quality for the price . I bought the small ones in cobalt blue which to me looked very manly for my son.

We ordered five or six of these and they were very nice and reasonably priced. The most important part was that we had previously ordered some and they didn't tell us they weren't coming until 48 hours before the funeral. Amazon had these dropped off within 24 hours thank you so much

I wanted to get a small urn to be able to keep a very small amount of ashes of my uncle who passed away. When my family and I went to spread his ashes I was allowed to put some of his ashes in this small urn. It came with a little paper funnel to put the small end in the top of the urn and use the big end to scoop some of the ashes. The urn is red and beautiful on the outside. The only thing I didn't like was that when I opened it, it looked like it had already been used. The inside is rough looking. But I just realized it's the raw side of the material they use to make it (concrete, ceramic...I'm not sure). The urn comes wrapped up in a lovely little velvety pouch and is bubble-wrapped very nicely.

I had purchased a similar urn at the funeral home for $165 and then when I saw this one in Amazon I just wanted to get it and compare for only $20. I was very impressed with the quality for only $20.
