I am a professional painter, so I’ve applied paint in a variety of ways from brushing to rolling to spraying. I was recently hired to repaint a few areas in the children’s area of our local library. As I was preparing to repaint this “cannonball hole in a pirate ship†spot, I was brainstorming ways to recreate the look without bringing my big paint sprayer into the library. I looked on Amazon and found this airbrush sprayer option. It was only $50, so I figured if it didn’t work well I wasn’t out much money and I could always return it if I didn’t use it.I had never used an airbrush sprayer before, so I glanced at the directions and filled the tank with water to see if/how it worked. Everything seemed to be working fine with the water, so I took it to the library to see what it could do with paint.Within the first 5 mins of using it I was already thinking of other projects I could use it on. It was so easy to use for a first-timer and it worked perfectly! I wouldn’t use it on larger jobs—it really puts out a fine mist of paint and would take too long to do big jobs. But for little projects like this or small craft projects (or maybe even makeup application?) this thing is awesome. The head honchos at the library AND another painting crew that was in there watching me work also mentioned wanting to buy one after seeing how well it worked and hearing how inexpensive it was.It feels heavy/well-made. It feels like it’ll last a while. It’s not a cheap, light-weight piece of cr@p that you fear to receive nowadays.I’d recommend this product all day long.

I'm new to airbrushes, and have been putting off getting one because I was afraid of spending money on something that would break or I wouldn't be able to figure out. This airbrush was a pleasant combination of affordable, easy to use, and (so far at least) works like a charm!Set-up:I was pretty much able to use it instantly: I took it out, charged it, and then put it all together - the parts are pretty intuitive, so even though there isn't much by way of instructions in the kit itself, the video on Amazon's page were more than enough to help me understand all the parts to set it up. I like how straightforward this is for a beginner like me. I did get confused for a moment when I turned on the air-compressor and it made noise for a second... and then stopped. I thought it was broken! But nope, I just forgot that this was the battery-saving version, where the air-compressor only turns on when you have the airbrush in use. So if you push the "on" button and nothing seems to happen, depress and pull back on the air-brush's trigger - and it should start up again! Once I knew that, I was confidant that I had it all assembled correctly and everything was working as intended.Use:I'm using basic acrylic paints + water to thin them out, although I might switch over to mini-paints - as those are already much thinner. It did take me a bit to get the ratio I wanted, as I needed something thin enough to go through the airbrush but also not just spit out tinted water. I did test out some airbrush thinner medium that I picked up from Hobby Lobby, but honestly the results of that vs just water were the same.I did struggle just a bit with adjusting the spray nozzle. You're supposed to be able to adjust the output by screwing or unscrewing the silver knob at the back, but I couldn't tell that it made much difference - admittedly, though, I didn't try very long, because I was already more than happy with what was coming out! I was getting a spray radius of about a pea-size when up-close, and then obviously larger radiuses as I pulled away. I also got pretty decent coverage when I had the trigger pulled back all the way, although I can understand how going over surfaces multiple times is sometimes needed. (This isn't a paint-brush where you can just instantly get 100% opacity in one stroke, but it's still pretty fantastic.)Cleaning:Again, thanks to the video included on the item's sale page here, cleaning was very straight forward. I've heard that clogging due to poor maintenance is the #1 killer for airbrushes, and was so scared about that - I used the back-flow feature liberally with clean water to wash this out. Then I followed the video and took it apart. Unscrewing the inner piece to get the... the needle-thing on the inside... sorry, I don't know the terminology!... got me stuck for a moment, but that was because I was trying to unscrew the wrong thing. So I went back to the video and tried again - and also used a bit more force, as it was screwed in pretty tightly. Once I'd loosened off that fixture, the metal needle part came out and I was able to give it a good clean. I could see instantly that this NEEDED to be done, as the paint was pretty visible on the needle. After that, it was pretty easy to use the included brushes and such to clean it out and put the airbrush back together again.I'll update if I try it again and learn anything new, or if any issues arise with future uses! So far so good, though!Update 1 (still good!): I used it for a second time and panicked when at first it wouldn't work - air came out, but no paint!! BUT then I took it apart and cleaned the needle, which had some paint on it from before (I was sure I'd cleaned it thoroughly, but apparently I'm not as thorough as I thought). And that was all it took! Once I'd cleaned it up, everything worked fabulously again. So still full marks for this product!

I purchased an imyyds airbrush about a year ago. It was working perfectly and gave satisfying results. The brush was also very easy to clean. A week ago I was doing a deep clean on my airbrush and I accidentally broke the treading from the tip of the gun. I tinkered and tinkered with it, until I gave up. I decided that I needed to replace the part. After scrolling around online for awhile, I found no place to purchase replacement parts. Annoyed, I sent an email to the imyyds company about my problem. Then responded to me within 24 hours. I was expecting an answer I didn't want, but instead, the after sales department (specifically Bruce Mai, thank you!) told me that they would send a whole new airbrush for free! I was blown away by the generosity from them to a low level random customer like me. They had it shipped out right away...and boom, within three days I was unpacking a brand new airbrush.Imyyds airbrush an inexpensive, but reliable and great tool for all sorts of projects. Thanks to them, I was able to continue my miniature painting in less than a week from when I broke my airbrush.

I have been thinking of doing hobby airbrushing for some time. But I did not have the room for an air compressor set up. Let me tell you, this little kit is amazing for those who want to do some casual upgrades to figures, hobby kits, custom paint jobs, and toys. Not only that, but my wife also used it for cake decorating! The compressor holds a charge for a really good amount of time. The airbrush is actually really nice and has some weight to it. All accessories are excellent for cleaning after every use. I have done some nice detail work on some figures, which is all I needed. I am really glad that I could buy something inexpensive that gives me the results that I was looking for. This is a great introduction set for anyone looking to get into the hobby.

This works well for me, painting scale models - and much cheaper than a traditional compressor based airbrush. Saw other reviews where they couldn't get anything but blobs to spray. I had some similar experiences but all solved by getting the paint consistency right, and using the right paint thinners. I recommend this product as a good starting point for airbrush work.

I got this for an entry level miniature painting airbrush that has a portable, compact compressor. The airbrush itself is a standard, basic model but more advanced airbrushes will work with this. I bought a more expensive airbrush and I can easily swap between them. The real gem is this compact compressor. I had the older model and recently got this version and now it has a USB C charging port and a battery indicator, which is a massive benefit when you are planning to use it and need to check the battery level or have been using it for a while and see it is getting low. It doesn't take too long to charge up. Just make sure you are using a USB charger that outputs enough power.I use the extension hose most of the time but you can connect it directly to the airbrush. I have used it for priming with black and doing light coats of white for zenithal highlights, or just an all over dusting to bring out the details. Plus basecoats, colour blends and painting OSL / directional lighting. Be prepared to do a lot of cleaning on the airbrush, especially with priming, as the nib can clog up fast. However there are cleaning tools provided and lots of videos online that provide tips for you to work out what works best.If you want a compact, portable, battery powered compressor and are looking at the large variety available online, get this one.

A fantastic product for modelling, no need for long air hoses or bulky compressors.A very portable device and light weight.

I picked this airbrush up on the advice of a friend who also uses one and recommended it highly. I was really happy with the build quality and how easy it was to assemble and use straight out of the box. When I disassembled the airbrush to clean it for the first time, I misplaced the trigger spring and when I contacted the seller they were all too happy to arrange a replacement free of charge!Definitely appreciate the follow-up service just as much as I do the airbrush - thanks very much!

The product is great for small hobby projects. Can't really tell a difference compared to my sparmax air compressor as I am not very specific on PSI settiongs. It is certainly quiter than my sparmax compressor and a lot easier to carry around. The best part is the customer service. Had some issues with the auto swithoff function as it died on mine. Contacted the customer service and the owner responded immideatly. Since I am in Australia and the proudct is sold by amazon US with amazon logistics, the onwer was very kind to help arrange a replacement with all the logistics sorted out. Amazing, will definitly recommend to other hobbyists.
