I use about one pound of shock per week during swim season. This product has performed well for the 11 years I've had the pool. Package size, of one pound is perfect for my in-ground 8 X 30 X 4-foot pool.I still have to super-chlorinate to get rid of chloramines but for week-to-week wonderfully clear water, I trust In The Swim Chlorine=Free Oxidizer. I can swim safely in 15 minutes after treating.

I just started to use this shock. I have an Ionizer and this is the only thing that I use besides that. My pool is an inground, almost 20,000 gallons. I use 2 1# bags about every week to 10 days and that is all I need to keep my pool sparkling. This has been an exceptionally hot year and our pool has very heavy use. I have had no problems with algae or anything else. This is the easiest maintenance routine and the most effective one I've ever had and we have had our pool for over 40 years. I highly recommend this shock and using an ionizer. So much healthier with less chemicals.

My salt water pool had turned cloudy and yellowish because I couldn’t get my husband to clean the filter. After 4 months of bugging I finally told him to show me how to do it. Cleaned the nasty filter and two days later the pool looked like crap again, so I ordered this stuff. Added two bags as instructed and the next day cleaned the filter again and my pool is beautiful, blue and crystal clear. It’s been a week and is still sparkling. I will now add this once a month and will also add cleaning the filter to my ever growing list of household chores.

I add this non chlorine to oxidize non bacteria organic stuff in the pool, can put it in any time too and swim minutes later. Just be careful it's not windy when you do it and you wear protective glasses and wash your hands afterwards. This and algae 60 will keep my AZ pool from getting algae. Chlorine then can concentrate on eliminating bacteria so I don't go through as much chlorine. I like that I can buy 3 months worth at a time so I just put in the reminders to add weekly that's it. This may not replace regular shocking to boost free chlorine

I like the fact that this is chlorine free pool shock as I have a salt water system. I don't like the fact that these are quite expensive to use once per week. I could not find this anywhere else so I guess I'm very limited and must pay the Amazon price ($45 for 6 1lb bags!) if I want the product.

Used to shock both my spa and pool. My pool had a lot of combined chlorine in it so it needed significant shocking to get those levels down. Since I wanted to continue swimming I needed to use a non-chlorine shock. This worked perfectly. I was able to use the pool within 15 minutes after each shock session. Had I used chlorine, the delay would have been measured in days.

Earlier this yr I switched to another pool shock. I tried everything to clear up the pool. I won't mention the name but I usually order in the swim pool shock. After one treatment and it was already clearer. This is a great product.
