Let’s face it, the price of pure copper wire is pretty high right now so if we can cut corners on certain projects, most of us do. Your happiness with this product is going to be tied to your expectations going into it. If you need something for a project with decent power and nothing less than pure copper 10 AWG will do, you are going to be disappointed. This is great for speakers and other low volt low amp projects. It is CCA not pure copper. And all this is stated in the listing so there shouldn’t be any surprises here. For 19 cents a foot, I don’t think you can expect much more from this wire. All that being said, if you are working on a DC circuit where the quality of wire won’t make or break your project, I’ve had a really good experience with this stuff so far. I would consider my work with this as hobbyist or enthusiast level.It's flexible and easy to work with. I do more crimps than solder joints so I can’t speak to how they take heat. The jacket seems durable enough for most purposes. I wouldn’t leave it exposed to the weather or sun. I would use this around some indoor LED lighting or other things. I probably wouldn’t use it for heavy amperage audio equipment or my solar system or anything else where failure is not an option. I’d use it to add toys to my car and ATV and other things where I just need some good cheap wire that is a decent enough gauge for the power draw. With CCA wire, I always gauge up on the standard amperage rating just to be safe, especially on longer runs.

I ran this speaker wire behind a wall and across an attic to connect some ceiling mounted surround speakers.Easy to pull through the wall and the pos and neg cables are red and black. Takes some of the guesswork out of the wiring.The outer jacket on the wire seems plenum rated - thick covering - though I’m not an expert in that.The sounds is great so I got exactly what I needed out of this speaker wire.

I’m building a new house and ordered this to run before the sheet rock went up. I liked that it’s color coded to match my speaker hook up. The electrician doing the rough in said it appeared to be very good speaker wire.
