These are typical light duty 2 prong (ungrounded) extension cords for indoor use. They have worked fine for me. The sliding outlet covers on each of the three outlets are a convenient method of closing off the outlets from prying fingers. These cords are marked with the ETL safety mark. I reviewed this company's product list on the ETL web site and could not find these extension cords listed among the certified products. I contacted Intertek (who provides the ETL mark) and they did not provide any more information than could be found on their product listing site. It's possible that Tiffcofio is incorrectly applying the ETL mark granted to their other products to these cords. I doubt that this will be a practical concern for use but I do find it strange. I suggest using these cords well below their rating of 13A/1625W as a precaution.
