1. I was shocked to receive a 1,500 watt heater that was made of cheap plastic.I was expecting it to be of ceramic material. There may be ceramics somewhere, but I did not see it.2. The cord just barely fits through the base, but worse is that you have to bend the cord sharply to get it through.3. The instructions for the base are useless. Ultimately if you manage to put it on, the placement looks crooked.4. Safety is important. I have an older home. I had an electrician out to check the outlets in my house to make sure running a portable heater didn't short out wiring or cause a fire.He set up a dedicated wire and outlet that could handle this high wattage.1,500 is alot of watts.I just don't have any confidence in using a cheap plastic heater with 1 500 watts running through it.I've returned it. I have since bought a small metal stove type heater that has settings of 1,000 and 1,500 watts, has a 3 prong plug, tipover shut off, remote, and has a nice fake flame.

Great heater works well in my master bedroom. I am able to set timer for it to turn off at certain time so my room doesn’t get super hot. It’s convenient to have a mini remote and I have been just changing the temp while being in my bed. It’s nice and small and I am able to carry it easily anywhere in the house.

Well, there are many different brands of these portable heaters and all of them seem basically the same, although the features may vary slightly. How does one choose? I chose this one because it was on sale 52% off and it compared to others that were more expensive. It does work and it puts out a fair amount of heat but lets review. If your goal or projected use for this heater is to heat a bedroom or office that is ~ 100-160 square ft, it will work just fine for you. However, of you have a larger area, it will struggle, and at what cost? Example: Excluding bedrooms and bathrooms, the main living space (kitchen and family room), in my home together make up ~700 sq feet. Early this morning, the inside temp in my home is 60 degrees F. I turned this little heater on. Now, I am not expecting instant temperature rise because I know that nothing works like that but three hours later the temp inside the described area has risen 1.5 degrees F. Depending on the the electricity rate is in your area, this could be pricey to run, not to mention the fact that you have to be careful of how much current you are drawing. Watts/ volts = amps. 1500 watts/ 120 V = 12.5 amps. I really like this heater. It works great as an extra heat source for my apartment when the radiators are not enough. I like the oscillating feature too. It's fairly quiet (like white noise) and easy to operate.
