This is a legit Injen product. I got the red box, imprinted pieces, and badge on the intake. It's really a short ram air intake because it doesn't go that far and away from the engine. That's okay because my area can have some very rainy weather so a true CAI would be bad for me. It took me literally 40-45 minutes to uninstall the stock intake and install this one. Highly recommend reading through the instructions straight through first. I'm aware that the real benefits of a product like this are really only in the higher RPMs rather than the lower daily driver RPMs. That being said, it does sound like stock at 3000 RPMs and below which is good. Then when pushing it greater than 3000, you get a much more aggressive growl but not overly done. Overall, I'm very happy and pleased with this product.

Super fast delivery and legitimate Injen product. Just installed last night on my 2013 passat, very easy to follow instructions and in total took about an hour including delays due to having to makeshift some of the needed tools. Sounds amazing (especially at higher rpms) and seems to give the car a bit of extra power. For anyone wondering, this product does fit other years than the 2012 passat, mine is a 2013 and worked perfectly, it came with a cap to cover the extra intake hole for models not containing this hose. I believe this product is compatible with 2012-2015 2.5L passat models, highly recommend!

Very quick delivery of this CAI for my 2012 VW Passat. Installation was straight forward with clear and complete instructions. All parts were included. The sound is incredible and I also notice some performance gains. Recommended!
