This is my second grinder by this manufacturer. My first was reliably efficient and durable. Happy I was able to replace it after using my first for over 15 years.

It works well, but the glass likes to "catch" on the grated surface. It's mostly an inconvenience and I don't know; maybe they are all like that. Overall, very happy with it.

My 3rd grinder over 30 years. I like the sponge cooling feature; other brands use drip cooling, which usually fails after a few years.

After 30+ years, I am getting back into stained glass. I ordered this grinder because I like working with a second story work surface for smaller, intricate pieces. Upon opening the box and trying to assemble the second story work surface onto the main work surface grid, I found the pieces are incompatible. The grid on the main surface does not support the second story work surface. See photos. The packaging included four cheap plastic pegs. Even inserted into the notches on the bottom of the second story work surface and laid on top of the main work surface grid, the hold is not secure and does not provide a steady work surface for grinding glass. I received the box in April. Due to traveling, I have just now opened it. Amazon will not provide refund unless/until I contact seller, if even then. This was not an inexpensive purchase, and it definitely is not a quality product based on what is advertised. I have contacted seller and will wait my two days before following up with Amazon. I DO NOT recommend this product.
