Purchased this to remove the CV axles on a 2008 Prius. Worked well on the passenger side, in just a few whacks using the LARGE adapter on the slide it popped it out nicely . I thought , wow this isn't hard at all. I then tried to use it on the drivers side, no luck. No matter how hard I maneuvered the adapter, I wasn't able to get it to fit on the end of the axle shaft. I then resorted to a medium size pry bar and with a bit of persuasion it popped loose. No fault of the tool; I am confident had the adapter fit, it would have worked wonderfully. Overall, although a bit expensive and maybe a one or two use tool, it's a great time saver, and you know the value of that!

I set it up and after sliding the "hammer" back twice the handle snapped off. Luckily I had electric tape and wrapping around the end was enough for it to work. It actually worked well but without electric tape the tool would've been useless.

Spent 2.5 days struggle to remove with all sorts of pry bars, chisels type especially on the driver’s side to no avail, it’s narrower position make it worse. Went with this set, was the only appear on list that has extension bar and came with two well build adapters. Little concern, Amazon noted it’s a Frequently Returned item. Received this tool the next day. Took less than 30 seconds, axle came right out with little effort. Curious of the high returns, if there are user error or user abuse, got it out for the one-time use and returned it and skewed the result. I really don’t know. From experience, highly recommended, good to have for your DIY or tool collection.

Swapping an engine in my dads 2004 Buick Rainier. Got to the CV axles and was getting tired of smashing fingers, didn't have enough clearance to swing a hammer didn't want to mess with it, this tool looked interesting and I pulled the trigger. Got this thing in 2 days, put smaller shoe behind and it wouldn't fit well, tried larger one, perfect, screwed slide hammer section in and couldn't get enough clearance of my knuckles and surrounding areas, screwed in extension and gave it 2 good whacks and the shaft was out. Wish I had bought one of these years ago, been doing it the hard way all along. The actual construction while not super pro grade is highly sufficient for the home user or light shop user. I found no defects in the threading and materials. There was a nice finish on the tool, the only detractor I could find was the small metal piece that went into the end of the handle and it would not stay in (splines to shallow/ hole too large). This was not a big issue as I kind of like it not in there. 5 stars on this tool. Could use a blow molded case as it comes in a Foam tray from inside a cardboard box.All in all very happy with my purchase of this item.

Makes the job so much easier. No more messing around with prybars for hours, just slap this on and pull. The extension is nice and helps bunch in areas where you wouldn't have much room to slide the hammer

Great tool to have , but I sent my tool back , because I couldn’t screw the end parts all the way . I guess I got a defective one , but it’s well made , easy to use , and yes I do recommend this tool , the sender is not at fault. It was just a defective one. It comes in brand new.

I didn't measure the weight of the Slide but I don't think it is 5lbs..The bar making the T handle kept following out... With the extension, it's a nice plus, but if it came with a 10lb slide it would have been excellent ...I wasn't able to remove my CV axle 🥴
