Had a plumber install and it works great! Am big hot green tea drinker and it’s great I don’t have to boil water. This is my third home in 11years and we have installed this product and brand in every home!

This is a piece of junk. The first one started leaking after a year. The warranty service had me crawl around under the sink to diagnose that it was problem with the faucet. Then i had to schedule a visit. The guy came, affirmed that it leaked and went away. Then I had to spend two hours on the phone getting the servicer and Insinkerator to talk to each other so that the servicer would get a new part and instructions to install. Then I had to schedule another visit. Cost me about six hours. A year later, the knob broke - a completely independent failure which doesn't speak well for their quality and design. Now I'm going through it all again. I asked for an extension on the warranty. They said go pound sand. I'll never buy another Insinkerator product.

I have been through 3 of these by the same maker. Very expensive really overpriced for the quality And expected life even though I have a good filter it still craps out after 2 to 3 years could be a better product for it’s priceBut I use it probably 10 to 20 times a day and A must have for tea or instant coffee or instant hot water on demand.You could buy a hot water decanter for a 1/4 of the price but you have another item on the counter and you need to make volume amour of Hot water
