Bought for checking the Inside Diameter measurement accuracy of calipers and other measuring tools. Comes with a accuracy certification and measured diameter info to 1/100000 inch, including hole taper and out of roundness measurements. Both the gauge and the certification metrology report are serial numbered. Mine is nominally 0.69997" diameter and my new Mitutoyo 6 inch IP67 caliper rounds that to 0.7000" Mine was listed for about 1/3 the current price just a couple of days ago. No idea why on sale or whether possibly an error listing but I grabbed it. A necessary item for checking the accuracy of measuring tools used by machinists and others working to tight dimensions.
