This saves a ton of time while punching cable. The only thing I wish they’d improve is the A slot is a little small. If you have to go pickup Cat 6 Jack from a big box store like Home Depot, the ones they sell will be like a half a millimeter to large to fit snug in there. Better solution is to buy better jacks.

[The one I bought was sold by Otimo]I'm an IT tech and terminate CAT pretty frequently. As such, I have stabbed/knicked myself with a 110 punch down tool FAR too many times when I'm not being ultra-careful. Having this extra little bit of grip gets my hands and/or leg out of the way which is a godsend. Well worth the ~six bucks I spent on this! One thing of note- It did take me a moment to get used to how the various keystones types fit into this. If it doesn't seem secured, give it another try.

This is very useful for holding your jacks in place to punch down your wires. This makes the job a whole lot easier. Even if you only make one Keystone jack connector, this tool is worth it to make sure you did it well with no errors. If you found my review helpful, please click on the "yes" below that you found this helpful and I will continue to review more products and give updates to my reviews. I needed something to hold the cat5 jack as I punched them down . I wasn't having much luck using my bare hands. Doesn't fit the inexpensive off brands we use very well but is still somewhat better than using my bare hands. The one I had years ago ( and lost ) was a round disk with a spot in the middle for holding the jack in place. Can't find that one any more so I thought I'd try this one. It's not awesome but is better than bare hands in most instances.
