Compared to a bluepoint it is as accurate. It does have a smaller gauge but is perfect for what it does. Buy 2. There great!

This thermometer is great. It’s accurate, easy to use; however, the issue I have with it is that it’s hard to read at times. I think because the bezel curves over the edges, it lets in too much light, causing a glare throughout the face. Other than that, it’s a handy little thermometer.

Will need to be calibrated as the 3 i purchased all read different temps in the same glass of ice water. Easy to calibrate though, just get a glass of ice water, dip the gauge in, once the temp settles adjust the nut on the back (with a 10mm wrench) which will turn the dial up or down, you want to set it at 32* while dipped in the ice water. After that your all set! Gauge is very accurate after calibrating.Pretty much all gauges like this one need to be calibrated out of the box (even my more expensive SnapOn/Blue Point gauges did) so its not a deal breaker and shouldn't be. Calibration of a new gauge or at least checking it for accuracy is standard procedure.

Ever wonder if your car's air conditioning is getting a bit weak but don't want to spend the time or money to have a mechanic look at it? Just insert this thermometer into a cooling vent. A properly working A/C system should be between 35 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit at the vent opening.

Used for intended use, and it works fine but the dial is very small and hard to read without taking the probe fron the A/C vent first. Kinda a PITA.

Excellent product. It has a probe that you insert in the A/C vent so it measures the temperature of the air that is coming out, rather than having the ambient air included. In may case, the A/C air was 5 degress C colder, sosystem doesn't need attention.
