I have been using this product for many years. It works great as long as you do a little pre-inspection preparation. Clean the item well prior to adding the dye, run the item and use a UV light to find the leak. Works well in Engines, Transmissions, Transfer cases, Differentials, Power Steering systems. They say it works in the Fuel systems, but I personally have not tried it in the Fuel. Also works in Diesel engines, but it takes more one bottle of dye. Photos are of Rear main Confirmation, Viewed after the removal of the transmission. The leak was located prior to pulling the transmission by oil running down the back side of the oil pan from inside the bell housing. If the dye does not show up for you, try a different UV Light. Different brands of UV Lights, have slightly different light spectrum's. I have a FLUKE Brand, Police Security Brand, and a generic off brand from Amazon.

I struggled for a long time trying to see where the oil leak was coming from. I was stubborn and didn't bother ordering this for over a year. I finally had enough and bought it and started the car and by the time I laid on the ground under the car there was so much glowing oil I had to have my son stop the car so I could spray all of the glowing oil away so I could have him start the car so I could see where it was coming from. I thought it was the oil pan but it was actually my timing cover and in a different spot than where I thought it was coming from. I will buy this any time I need to find a leak. I do recommend buying a big led UV flashlight so it has enough power to really make the dye react. I had no issues at all. I have a random coolant leaking smell in another car and will be buying the correct dye for the coolant for it as well. Never again guess where leaks are coming from.

Worked perfectly to help find a leak in one of the injectors on my Kubota tractor. I had been smelling raw diesel fuel and seeing some wet spots on the garage floor. Easy to use. Added dye, ran tractor for 10 minutes, used my ultraviolet flashlight and yellow tint shooting glasses to easily find the leak around the #3 injector. Make sure you turn off all lights except the ultraviolet, and dye shows as a nice, bright whitish-yellow. For under ten dollars it was well worth the money.

Used it for thr first time yesterday and discovered the source of my oil leak quickly . You will need a black light but they are cheap. Recommended .
