Have used with usb 3 nvme drive and it worked great transferring over 1TB and it sustained verry high transfer rate 3000 bps. Also with regular disk with similar results lower bps of course. And SD/MMC slot as well. Did not connect eSATA.

Good solution for extra 5.25" slots on case this has card reader, USB 3.0 & C on panel and also an eSata always wanted a front panel eSata nice addition for panel a power jack would have been nice, but I knew it didn't have one so not going to give lower score because of it. Connecting cords long enough has USB 3.0 USB 2.0 and Sata so make sure you have enough spots for the connectors on mobo

If you look at the pics, next to the last one is a pic of both a new version AND an old version with caption that reads, "new and old models ship randomly" meaning you might get a new one and might get an old one. You buying new? Or buying old?

I bought this as I was tired of hooking my multiple cameras to my PC whenever I needed to transfer data. The transfer speeds have at least quadrupled with this, as it is plugged directly into to the SATA connector in the motherboard. It also has a legacy USB connector and a USB 3.0 one. Since my motherboard is small and the only available blue USB 3.0 was already taken by the plugs at the top of the box, I had to get myself an extra PCI express to USB 3.0 card.I was weary of the very many other cheaper alternatives found here on Amazon, and after checking the seemingly high quality of the component, I'd say I made the right call.

La languette bleue d'un port USB 3 est partie.On obtient alors le message "crête d'alimentation sur le port du concentrateur USB" obligeant à déconnecter le câble USB 3.Produit inutilisable.Le fournisseur (Marketplace Lazmin112) me demande une photo que j'envoie, me demande de patienter et ne donne plus de nouvelle.Heureusement Amazon accepte de me rembourser après retour du produit.
