Love this. I stained it 2 colors and it looks beautiful. I liked it so much I bought two lamp tables from their collection and did the same thing.

All wood not the cheapy particle board that falls apart, sags, and breaks after a few years. Applied several coats of stain and followed by poly. I have to say you have to be consistent in your application or you get the pieces of the wood showing up and not looking unified. The biggest issue I had was the last 2 bolts. They didn’t want to line up no matter what. Ended up stripping one a quick run to Lowe’s to replace. Ended up unscrewing one of the pre assembled sticks and it fit. Otherwise a nice solid entertainment center that should last me years.

We were really excited for this item but when we finally took a look at it (outside of the return window) we saw that the wood was badly split in multiple places including weight bearing areas. We haven’t touched this product since it arrived I can only assume it was already broken when we received it as the box it came in was falling apart. Very disappointed that it may no longer be safe to use.

I've bought numerous items from this line of unfinished furniture because they're made of solid hardwood and I can finish them all to my liking and to match. I do like it a lot, but there were definitely issues with the way this is packaged - a number of the pieces that were already connected were broken off or partially detached. I took the entire thing apart to finish it anyway and this wasn't really an issue for me, but this could definitely be an issue for someone not planning to do that or who just doesn't want to repair something they shouldn't have to. For something this large and heavy, there should be more firm packaging in place to keep pieces from moving around inside, that was the problem and every piece that had an end piece with a 'lip' was broken off. None of the wood was actually split, and I can put this back together probably better than it was originally, and this really is a great deal for a nice piece, but if you don't want to do a little extra work you might want to steer clear.

Box arrived on time and seemed to be intact with only a few shallow dents. Opening and a quick look inside seemed to show no damage. A week or two later as I started the project, I noticed an unusual break in one of the vertical dividers...thought it was random and just glued it. As I started pulling the pieces out to sand each one I eventually came to one of the shelves that was also broken near a glue joint. Again thought it was random so I glued that also (Good thing I had the tools). Finally I noticed damage on the bottom panel and real panel. Now I know why Amazon was selling these at a supposed reduced price.The product itself seems to be nice, solid wood throughout, though employs butcher block type glued panels. But I have had to put way more time into to finishing it than I should have. Hopefully Amazon will give me a bit of a credit for all the extra work I have had to put into this.

2 coats of stain and 3 top coats of poly. I recommend sanding lightly after first stain because some grain raises and is rough. Easy to install. Per my photo, there are no back holes for side shelves so I cut 1/2 inch holes above and below sides shelves so I could put my router and Roku player behind the glass doors. If you do that, start drilling on one side, stop, then turn it over and finish drilling from other side. Otherwise, you could shred the 1/8 inch plywood back.
