As the owner of 3 other float tubes (for myself and two boys) all of which were purchased with my own hunting and money (despite my Vine Voice label) this one exceeds all that I currently own in quality, features, and overall usability.I'm reviewing this in February 2025, before I have a chance to get this on the water, but am confident this is my go-to and favorite tube. The 3-ply laminate construction with a polyester core (per the manufacturer) is obviously durable - more so than it's price would suggest. It really is awesomely tough feeling and looking. Unlike many competing tubes, this one has valves and construction offering high-pressure inflation which just lends to the commercial grade look and feel. Thanks to the included (also higher than typical quality) hand pump, both inflation and deflation is easy. The floor of the sitting area is also tough and inflatable.Quickly turns into a backpack with a hip belt - should you need to move a distance with it fully inflated and ready to go, as can be seen in one my pictures with one of my older boys.Another "enhancement" that's a touch different than other tubes in this price class is the removable skeg (fin) that can, according to the manufacturer, enhance control and maneuverability (I'll see if that's the case - but I don't personally plan to use this in rivers for now). The key items I like and think this sets it apart from others... again for the price... is the quality of all the key fittings and components. I love the included oars and excellent quality oar locks, pump, rugged safety line and grommets, storage bags are actually really nice, the heavy duty apron in front I'll actually use and even could eat lunch on while on the water, and rod holders are great (and removable like most of the add-on components to the core of the tube).I'm not crazy about the seat... for the durability and quality of everything else, I'd have liked to have seen a rigid or rigid framed seat back - the seat should be fine, but honestly is a small point of annoyance for me personally, and an area that INTEX probably chose to keep the price lower. I can't fault that, and just hope that particular items lasts, even though it's made of the same tough material. I just consider it an overall odd choice given I have solid oars with oar locks, rod holders, a skeg, and an rugged apron... but an inflatable seat and seat back. As a larger guy, I worry about the comfort of the seat back over the course of a full day on the water preferring something more solid behind my back as I use the oars or flippers to move around. For now, not worth docking a star... should I change my mind later, I'll update this review. All in all, seriously a nice tube and tough - excellent for the price/performance ratio. I think you'd have a hard time finding better.

This is my first fishing float-tube (belly-boat). I'm really excited about it, but I've yet to take it out on the water. Unfortunately, it is still winter (it snowed again today), and I am also still purchasing equipment to get back into fishing after a 30 year absence. So, I hope that I can provide you with some good information about this item despite my lack of experience with it - or one like it.The set arrives well-packaged. Everything you need is included in the kit: float tube. spreader bars, seat, oars (2), storage boxes (2), pump, pressure gauge, keel fin, carrying straps, backpack (storage) with full straps, repair kit, and instructions. I mean it, you get almost everything you need to get started. Everything appears to be made of quality materials and manufacture. So, with my dear spouse's permission, I followed the instructions for assembly in the living room. The instructions for assembly are pretty clear and well illustrated with photos in the manual. I only had a some difficulty with a couple of items as the processes were not made clear in the instructions. This came-up during inflation, and then storage. I had to go online to learn how to properly set the inflation valves in the float (both for inflation and deflation). Same thing with deflating and storing the tube. That last is only touched upon in the manual and there is nothing on the Intex web site to help. I had to use another company's video to learn what to do. The manual could be improved with better information. But that doesn't detract from the product itself. I got the craft together in a reasonable amount of time. It was much larger than I expected it to be. I sat in it and found it to be quite comfy too (my wife saw me sitting in my "little boat" and laughed at me). I flipped it over and attached the straps for hoisting it on your back for carrying. It weighs a little over 30 pounds, but felt easily portable for short distances. After all this I took at apart to repack it for storage, until I can take it out. That was a little more involved than I would have liked (again, another trip to Google and You Tube for help), but I got everything packed into the storage pack.I'm looking forward to trying this thing out. It looks and feels secure, and I think it will help me get a few fish in the not-so-distant future. I hope this review is helpful. I will add to it once I take it out and get some real-world experience with it.
