I think this is the most dense/firm foam roller I have of about 5. I like the shorter length since it still covers my entire back (male size small for reference) so it is convenient to carry around vs others but it's extremely firm. Even with the larger diameter, it's bordering on uncomfortable with sore muscles. Some pressure is beneficial but I'd like to see just a bit more give in the foam. The other problem is with most athletic shirts being polyester or nylon, it can sort of scoot out from under you without a rubber grip of some kind. I'll still use this on the calves and legs which can handle the extra pressure, but probably use a slightly softer one for my back and shoulders.

Good quality, the foam is firm and smooth to the touch. The dimensions in the listing are accurate. Works great for rolling on the back and neck.

This is extremely hard and a little too big for comfort.
